My top front teeth have never came down into place what is the best treatment

Q. When I was about 12 years old two of my permenant front teeth on the top started to come through my gums. These two teeth have never came down into place and look pointed. I am now 26 years old and would like to get my smile fixed. I know that I have an overbite that does need to be fixed as well and some over crowding. I have heard that to put expanders on once you are in your early twenties that you must have surgery to open up the palate of the roof of your mouth. If this is true how invasive is this type of surgery and how expensive? What would be the best way to fix my smile at my age? Should i get braces or veneers? What would you suggest?

A. Hi many thanks for your email. it seems cosmetically there are more than one issue that needs dealing with. my advice would be to seek the advice of a cosmetic dentist which has some experiance with orthodontics. this way the dentist would be able to discuss both veneers and braces as options to help you.
