I can’t afford cosmetic dentistry but I hate my teeth! What can I do?

Q.
Hi Dr, I currently do not pay for my dental treatment and just wanted to know if i can ask my dentist to improve my teeth and smile or are they limited, i cannot afford cosmetic dentistry but i hate my teeth, i have a crooked one, filling in my front teeth that are now discoloured, and my teeth are generally discoloured which i find extremely embarrassing, if i had my choice i would have them all out and get dentures, i am 50 yrs old and i do smoke, but i know lots of people that smoke and their teeth are not the same colour as mine, any advice would be appreciated and thank you for your time.

Hello there, thank you for your question. In regards to your question, It all depends on your dentist and what treatments are available on the NHS, it might be that you have to pay for tooth whitening as this is definitely not available on the NHS. I hope this helps, take care.
