The centre line of my top arch of teeth has moved

Monday, March 23rd, 2009
Q.
Dear Dr. Solanki, The centre line of my top arch of teeth has moved around 3 centimetres off centre due to crowding by my other teeth. Can a clear removable aligner such as Invisalign or Clearstep rectify or improve this? Regards.

I have crowded lower teeth and protruding front teeth causing speech problems

Monday, March 23rd, 2009
Q.
Hi, Im 29 years of age and should of had a brace when i was 18 but i stupidly didnt. I now have speech problems, my lower front teeth are crowded and one of my upper front teeth is protruding. My teeth and gums are healthy in general. Could these problems be corrected with crowns , bridges and veneers without having to wear a brace? thanks

Is invisalign the best solution for crossbite and slightly crooked front teeth

Monday, March 23rd, 2009
Q.
Hello, I have a slight crossbite and my front teeth are slightly crooked. Do you think that invisalign would work for me? Or are braces my only option…?

How long does it take for invisalign to respond to a query and what is the data (photos and moulds) that is need to be provided to them?

Monday, March 23rd, 2009
Q.
I am using invisalign, I had 7 upper trays and 13 lower trays. I started the course back in June 2008, and finished my uppers in Sepetember. I finished my lowers last month, December. Before starting the whole invisalign procedure, my upper teeth were quite straight anyway, apart from my front right tooth was a bit further back than the rest. Getting this level with the rest of my upper teeth was my main reason for choosing invisalign, as these teeth are seen more than the rest. My bottom teeth are less visible when I talk naturally, or smile, but I thought I may as well get these straightened too, as they were pretty crooked. Ever since tray 5 of my uppers I sensed that the tooth I wanted aligned was not going to make it. I spoke to my orthodontist who told me to wait til I had finished all the trays before I get too concerned. Then after tray 7 (the last upper tray), I saw him again, and told him what I had suspected – my top teeth were not aligned. He told me to wait until I have finished my lower trays, and to keep wearing my upper tray as much as possible. Well I did this, and I went to see him last week as I have finished all trays now. My bottom teeth are 80% there, but not how I anticipated them to turn out. It is mainly my front lower tooth being more prominent than the rest. I am worried my ortho does not know what to do next – he keeps fobbing me off and brushing my concerns under the carpet, and claims my teeth are fine to him. He admits my top tooth is slightly further back than the rest, and claims this is because it is less “bulbous” than the rest of my teeth. He says he plans to contact the invisalign company to ask them if more trays are possible for me. He took no photos of my teeth to show them my latest results, and says he should have an answer for me in the next 2 -4 weeks!!! How does it take so long??? So in the meantime I have to keep wearing the trays. Has anyone had similar issues? What should the next step be? I suspect my botton prominent tooth needs shaving a bit to allow the rest of my teeth to come in line, and want my top tooth to be aligned with the rest. Thanks

I am looking into getting lingual braces

Monday, March 9th, 2009
Q.
I am looking into getting lingual braces, I had a consultation with an orthodontist who uses the STB light lingual system. How does STB compare with the Incognito lingual braces? Which ones are more comfortable and which one produces better results? I have a 5mm overbite and slight overcrowding in my lower teeth.

I am currently wearing Invisalign

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009
Q.
Hello ! I am currently wearing Invisalign, and am on tray number 11 out of 13. I am almost done with my case, and while my bottom teeth look perfect, my top teeth do not. The dentist shaved a couple spaces in between my teeth to create room for them to move, and while the spaces are not there very much, the teeth that were shaved are now different shapes. This makes me very self concious. My dentist recommended that I get Lumineers, but after paying 4000 dollars to have Invisalign, and the shaving required changed the shape of my teeth, there is no way I want to pay even more money to have Lumineers for something that my dentist ruined. My main question is, Is there any other way to fix the shape of my teeth WITHOUT getting veneers? I truly do not want veneers, even if money was not an option. If you could please let me know of a solution, that would be awesome. I can not ask my dentist because she will only push Lumineers on me. Thank You !

my problem is overcrowed bottom teeth

Friday, January 2nd, 2009
Q.
Hi, my problem is overcrowed bottom teeth, slight overbite from top teeth(sucking thumb child), uneven bite (left side teeth just about touch compared to right), narrow(ish) bite, 3 venners and crown (4 front top teeth due to broken teeth). The thing is I’m 30 in a sales role, any chance Invisalign will work for me? Its as much for comestic reasons (fear it will look worse as i age) as it is for hygiene as my teeth never feel really clean even after flossing.

I have been advised I am not suitable for Invisalign

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008
Q.
I have been advised I am not suitable for Invisalign or the 6 month smile treatment to treat an overbite. I do not consider metal braces for 2.5 years as an option. Are there any other treatments such as Invisalign that can be looked into? Also would it be an idea to have another consultation with another Invisalign or Clearstep partition?
