Q.
I had a fixed appliance for 3 and half years to correct a number of issues, the biggest of which was an unerrupted upper left 3. The canine was brought into place and then i had a retainer to wear to keep everything in place. I stopped wearing the retainer after 2 years, and very gradually, the canine has been slipping backwards. Its starting to become irritating, not just athetically but also its infringing on the space that my tongue would normally occupy. What would be the best way to correct this problem? I’ve been looking at the possibilities of having a bridge or an implant, but ideally i’d like to save the tooth that i have already. Is there anyway of not having to have another fixed appliance?
