Dentist said he cannot build up implants enough to provide enough lip support. I have not been back since. What should I do?

Q.
Hi I was due to have implants approx 18 month ago. Full implant held denture for the lower and individual implants onthe top. The top partial denture I have now is built up at the front for lip support but after having all my impressions the dentist said that he cannot build up the implants enough to give enough lip support. This meant a full denture for the top which I must say I panicked about and haven’t been back since. I now need to look at my options again and may need to find another dentist. I was wondering how much the implants can be safely built up in this situation? Thanks,

Would leaving my missing tooth untreated affect the alignment of my teeth?

Thursday, October 28th, 2010
Q.
Hi, I have just had my top furthest back tooth extracted and after doing some research I am worried that this will affect my alignment etc if I leave it missing. What is best, to leave it or to have an implant? Do they do this on the NHS? I am 29 and also do not want it to affect my speech. Many thanks,

My teeth are in a bad state after accident playing cricket. Could I get my lower teeth capped so they don’t protrude?

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010
Q.
Hello Many years ago I had my front four teeth skittled by a cricket ball, which resulted in me having to wear a gum stripper plate. Also the two teeth either side have been capped. My bottom teeth have started to protrude over the years, which has ment that the upper plate teeth has been adjusted also. End result is a very unhappy me, with unsightly smile. I think the best course is to get the lower teeth all capped so they dont protrude, then either a bridge built over the top front gum (possible couple of inplants) ? Is this feesable? Many thanks ,

I am trying to get as much information I can about sinus correction, bone building and implant treatment. Can you advise?

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010
Q.
I have been informed that I would need sinus correction and bone build up and the cost has been reported to me at £22,000 for implants and bridges. I have been told that drilling in the jaw is similar to the feeling of a normal filling. I am trying to get as much information as I can before anything is done. Can you advise please.,

I have had problems with my implants, which my dentist says is down to my bite pressure. He has reduced the size of the implant teeth. Will this help?

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010
Q.
i had 2 implants fitted either side of my upper jaw in dec 2009. In May 2010 I had 2 double teeth fitted to each implant.Over the last month the right side implant feels loose and is uncomfortable and painful if I bite on hard substances. the opposite lower tooth has had an absess and recently root canal treatment (unsuccessful). My dentist thinks I am putting too much pressure when biting and has reduced the size of the implanted teeth significantly. Will my implant become more stable with time and if it does not what can I do?,
