How can i get treatment for my twisted tooth without using braces?

Hello, On the left side of my two front teeth i ahve a twisted tooth. I don’t want to have braces and turned the oppurtunity down because i didn’t want the pain and hassle for one tooth. I’m asking is there any way to have this cosmetically done, i.e. veneers, crowns, false teeth, etc. Please let me know; i haven’t had a cosmetics professionals opinion. After an operation gaps have developed btw teeth plz advice?

Hiya, i had an operation on my gum a few years back which left me with a gap at the front of my mouth, this happened due to a mistake made during the operation? since this happened i have been very subconscious about my teeth as they are in quite a bad state. I have bulimia for 15yrs will i have to crown my teeth?

Dear Dr Caplan i have been suffering from Bulimia for over 15 years and hence my teeth will need to be crowned (upper row). the bulimia is inactive but occasionally i regress to the same crutch, ie purging. my teeth are so sensitive that i have no choice but to crown them, do you think its advisable or are there any other options? thank you so much for your input.

Im 54 and i have receding gums what can i do?

Hi, i have always looked after my teeth and they are still in good condition. however, i have now got receding gums at the back of my lower teeth. this has affected 2 teeth each side. next to these teeth i have a missing tooth each side. removed when i was a child. i am 54 now. i have been told by dentists over the years that i am brushing my teeth too hard. can i have crowns fitted over the teeth that have the receding gums and can i have implants to fill the gaps between the teeth, thus protecting my gums from further damage from brushing.

Can i cover my gold crown with a temporary crown?

Hi. Can I purchase a temporary cover for my gold crown. I would like to cover it when I go on interviews. I got it 16 years ago and it was recommended by my dentist. Now I am a bit concerned about it because of all of the hype associated with having a gold. Of course I am not a kid, but when I go on job interviews i am not sure if it affects how the employer sees me even though I am dressed very nice. Thank You.

Should i get all my teeth crowned?

I had 4 upper front teeth veneers replaced a year ago after 23 very successful years with the original veneers. However, I had chipped one and the others were showing an ugly black line as a result of gum recession. The replacements have been nothing short of disastrous because although they look great, they keep falling off and one cracked before breaking off. My dentist (who fitted the originals and in whom I have complete faith) is baffled. I am due to go back on Monday because another has dropped off (for the third time), this time after only 2 weeks of re-bonding. I have looked at the procedure for veneers on your website and my dentist seems to be following that to the letter. Are there different types of cement for bonding? I would appreciate your comments because the alternative now is to have them all crowned.

I had a crown replaced on one of my front teeth. The color did not match and they gave me a bleaching tube and trays. I was told to try to whiten the teeth around it to match the color. I have gotten through one tube of bleaching gel and I can still notice a difference. Should I continue to try to whiten or should I have them replace the tooth?
