Can i get crowns which can be removed anytime?

Q. My friend told me that you can get a silver or gold cap on your tooth that you can take on ofr off at any time and it doesnt require any filing of the tooth is this true or is there something similar?

A. Provided your bite allows this to be placed this is possible
