Should i replace the crown which doesnt match with other teeth?

Q. I had a crown replaced on one of my front teeth. The color did not match and they gave me a bleaching tube and trays. I was told to try to whiten the teeth around it to match the color. I have gotten through one tube of bleaching gel and I can still notice a difference. Should I continue to try to whiten or should I have them replace the tooth?

A.

I would suggest that you have review with the dentist that replaced the crown to begin with.

Continuing whitening all depends if it’s a home whitening kit as you described then usually two syringes would be two weeks worth of bleach and that’s usually the amount of time it would take to gain your desired result although that would depend on the brand of bleach you are using.

I would highly suggest that you go back to the dentist for a review appointment where it may be necessary to replace the crown.
