Tuesday, January 4th, 2011Would Cerec veneers give a better look than my Mac veneers which have gaps at the gum margins?
Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010Dear Dr Solanki,
I have a question about cerec veneers. I am looking to replace my Mac veneers as I am not happy with them. When the finals were fitted, there were gaps between the gum margins that were not there when I had the temporaries. I am now thinking about cerec veneers as I have heard that they are very precise, and the dentist who assessed me feels that my gums could have been pushed up by the temps when I had the mac ones done which have caused the gaps.
With cerec veneers, are they the same as other porcelain veneers with regard to strength? Do they last as long?
I would be grateful for any advice.
Thanks very much
Filling used on front cracked teeth looks translucent. What advice can you give?
Tuesday, December 21st, 2010My 9 year old daughter fell yesterday and her front teeth took the force of the fall. The teeth are still there but she cracked both her front teeth. I rushed her to the emergency dentist and they have filled the teeth in. Last night when I was looking at them I could see where the crack was and the filling looked quiet translucent. What advice can you give?

What treatment is available to correct a prominent gum line?
Friday, December 10th, 2010I’m 18 and have just finished my braces treatment, my teeth are straight, but my gums are quite big, making my teeth appear smaller , which is really noticeable when i smile really big or laugh, also although my teeth are straight there is still a tiny tiny gap between my two front teeth, so not perfectly joined together. They were like this when the braces came off so it is not lack of wearing retainer etc. What would you suggest me do? As at the moment i do feel self conscious when smiling.
How can I get over my dental phobia in order to get my broken teeth repaired?
Friday, December 10th, 2010 Hi, Im a 42 year old male and was never taken to the dentist as a child so no trust was ever built up with a dentist, i have only been to the dentist since then when i have had tooth ache and something needs to be removed. The problem now is that i only have six front upper teeth and a few broken off at the gum line at the back. I can no longer smile and very scarred to smile if i go out, this has now affected relationships and eating in public is such an embarrassment i just don’t know what to do. I work but have no savings to pay for such treatment and cant move on in life.
im terrified of dentists and so wish i had gone when i was a child. Help
