Can anything be done for gappy teeth in cosmetic dentistry?
Q. Hi, I am 53 and had conventional orthodontic treatment to straighten my front teeth as a teenager. In recent years, my front teeth have started to move forwards and have gaps. I initially looked into orthodontic treatment but was told that it was unlikely to be successful due to ‘getting long in the tooth’. Is there anything by way of cosmetic dentistry that could done?
A. Im sure orthodontics could improve your teeth aesthetically. But it depends what you are looking to acheive. If you simply want to align them then orthodontics is the way forward. If you would like to change the shape, colour and size of your teeth then Veneers may be what you are looking for.
