Hello. I cannot get registered with a dentist and haven’t for several years. I have no teeth and I need to have some false ones but I can’t seem to find a dentist to help me. Please, you are my last resort. How can I get some false teeth? I have tried everywhere in Shrewsbury but no one is taking on new patients. I cant eat my favourite foods because I cant chew things like steak or liver or pork chops, I feel like crying.
I had an eating disorder for many years and now my front teeth are very worn and sensitive. They now look more like fangs than teeth due to vomiting and brushing my teeth straight after. Do the NHS help with cosmetic dentistry in cases like mine or would I have to go private and what would the cost be? I have had to have three back teeth removed in the past not because they had rotten, more that the small holes caused by acid caused a great deal of pain. Now I no longer feel like I can smile, I don’t like people to see my front teeth.
Hi, I really need help with my teeth. All my front crowns are coming off and I find it hard to eat food as I’ve lost my confidence. I’m looking for a student dentist because I haven’t got to much money now. Can you recommend anyone? I did try the NHS but they don’t seem to want to help. Can you help? My last dentist got struck off. I need new crowns and I have a front tooth missing and maybe some gum disease. Thank you.
Hi Dr Hughes. I have recently been in a car accident, and have lost two and a half teeth and chipped a fourth tooth, all at the front of my mouth. My teeth are usually in good condition but I don’t currently have a dentist. I am looking for an NHS dentist in Manchester to give me dental implants. Is this something you could help me with? How much is it to have a wisdom tooth and the tooth next to it removed? I have this problem now and I can’t wait any longer to have it done. My wisdom tooth has come out at an angle and has pushed against my other tooth creating a hole and the nerve is right next to it. Both teeth are infected I am on antibiotics now and it has been 48 hours of me taking the antibiotics it is causing a lot of pain. I can’t eat or sleep and the pain killers don’t help at all I’m finding it hard to work.
Hi Andrew. I’ve not been to the dentist for about 2 years I’ve got dental phobia and the whole experience just scares me. I’ve got very weak teeth and 2 of my bottom back teeth have broken I also have a lot of fillings. I really want them sorting out as I realise how important my teeth are. What sort of piece would I be looking at to have my fillings replaced probably about 6 of them and also the bottom 2 teeth that have broken? I’m with an NHS dentist at the moment? Thanks.
Hello Dr Moore. Could you please advise how much it would cost to have two bridges fitted at the front of my mouth? I want gold with a porcelain cover (window). I currently have a gold cap that I want replaced with a bridge. The two teeth I want replacing are next to each other in the front of my mouth. I would appreciate your advice or any suggestions you may have. My NHS dentist has advised I may need a plate fitted, however I had this before and couldn’t wear it as it made me feel sick. Hi, I suffer from a number of medical conditions, including epilepsy. Due to lots of medication over a lot of years and side effects. My hair, skin and teeth have suffered. My teeth are crooked, but due to illnesses and medications they have also become very weak. I have lost one tooth already. I have no confidence left due to these illnesses and haven’t visited the dentist in a while because of this. I hate my teeth and speak to people and laugh with my hand over my mouth as I am so self conscious about my teeth. I am a single parent who due to these awful illnesses is unable to work. Is there anyway I can get my teeth sorted on the NHS? I’m desperate for help and I just don’t want them getting worse than they already are. Thank you for your kind advice in advance.
Hi Doctor Moore, I have had a dental bridge for 25 years replacing six of my top teeth in all, 2 of my front teeth are missing and the bridge is supported by 2 other teeth on either side and 2 fake teeth in the centre. I am very lucky that the bridge has lasted so long but I feel that it is coming to the end of its life. I can’t afford the almost £3000 it will cost to replace (it cost me £600 private 25 years ago) so what will be my alternative? Can I get a NHS bridge to replace the one I had done privately? I don’t know what else I can do, I simply cannot afford the £3000 in one go, unless some sort of funding arrangement or finance scheme can be arranged. Thank you ever so much for any advice you can give to me, I’m at a loss now.
