Where Can I Go for Orthodontic Treatment?

Q.
Hello. I started to visit a dentist about year and a half ago and was told I had to go into hospital to have a tooth out before starting orthodontic treatment. Since I had this tooth removed, I’ve got no further with starting treatment and have just been pushed from pillar to post, visiting 3-4 different dentists and paying for consultations and x-rays but getting no further. I’m 44 years old and don’t want go leave it too late. I really hope you can help me or advise me about where I can go. It’s been quite upsetting time as i feel no one wants too help me. I’ve got a big family wedding in two and a half years time, so I would really like to start treatment as soon as possible. Thank you.

Hi, thank you for your question. I would go privately. It’s highly unlikely, considering your age, that you’ll receive treatment via the health service so please choose a good orthodontist and you’ll be able to start whenever you want to. Regards,  Mark.
