The proceline crowns I had 3 years ago gone horrible wrong none to trust please help

Q. Hi, I have had crowns, (albeit only temps when i was little) since i was 10 due to an accident were i broke my teeth. I had proper crowns fitted when i was 18 and had them in for 10 years, they fitted nice good colour etc but unfortunatly i snapped one…. so i decided to have them replaced 3 years ago and have them done private (more expensive porceline crowns) Well within a year into having them on,they had moved position and they have gone yellow? they discolour more so i have noticed when i go on the sunbed? My dentist said he has no idea why they have done this and says they shoukdnt, but was unwilling to replace them for free or even at a discount! Its now a further 2 years on and they are terrible and i really need them replacing and all my teeth whitening, but i have lost faith in whom to trust to were go to get them replaced? as i dont have the kind of money to keep paying out for them if this is to happen every few years? Thankyou

A. Hi, I do feel for you. I understand it is alot of money you have paid for- but more-so the frustration that you must be feeling.
I would be happy to see you for a consultation to offer my opinions if you wish. Alternatively, i can possibly recommend a good cosmetic dentist to you.
It sounds as though the underlying tooth colour is shining through the porcelain. As they are getting darker, you will probably want them replacing. It sounds as though the teteh have been root filled. The colour of a root filled tooth can darken over time.
When you hav eyour new crowns made, they can be constructed with a core colour blocker – basically, to block out the underneath tooth. Hope this makes sense.
You need to feel comfotable and confident with the dentist who will be carrying outthe treatment, so choose your dentist wisely. Thanks for your enquiry.
