I hate my smile as one of my front teeth sticks out more than others what are my options?

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009
Q.
Hello Dr Moore I am 28 years old and for a number of years i have extensive work done on my teeth. I have some big fillings and 3 root treatments. I have had to have some small fillings done on the front of my teeth as well. I hate my smile as one of my front teeth sticks out more than the other and also worry about what my back teeth are going to be like when i get older due the amount of work i have had on them. Im looking to have a nice bright smile but also the peace of mind that my back teeth are strong. Please can you recommend what options to take if i chose cosmetic dentistry. Kind Regards

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009
Q.
I have very weak teeth that crumble very easily – as a result I have lost many teeth and have some fillings. I would be very interested in having vaneers fited on all remaining teeth but also have a dentist phobia. Is it possible to have the teeth prepared and the vaneers fitted when under sedation?!?

My veneers placed in shade b1 but real colour of my tooth is showing through any advice?

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I had veneers placed in shade b1 but real colour of my tooth is showing through (which is dark yellow). they did not respond to whitening prior to getting veneers. The dentist will not help or even discuss this. Please can you tell me if anything can be done to replacement veneers to stop real colour showing through? I am going to different consultations and the dentist I might go with says there is a glue he can use to block the real colour out. Do you think this will work? many thanks

My front teeth are slightly crooked should i just get veneers to correct the crookedness?

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009
Q.
My front teeth are slightly crooked – one crosses over the other. I also have some discolouration on one of my canine teeth. I’ve been to see an orthodontist who advised ceramic braces for 9-12 months, but I’m very worried about them being visible as it could affect my job. Should I just get veneers? Would they correct the crookedness? Apart from being sensitive my teeth are very healthy and I have a good bite.

My front teeth has realigned 6mm to the left and it now looks like three front teeth advise?

Monday, July 27th, 2009
Q.
Hi; I broke all of my front teeth as a child and had a metal screw fitted with a crown. Over the years all of my teeth have re-aligned 6mm to the left and it now looks like I have three front teeth. I desperately want to have veneers fitted but am worried that it will look odd as it will be one tooth space missing. I have been advised to have a brace fitted but dont understand how you could move a metal screw? I also do not want to spend all that time with a brace. could you advise? Thanks and regards
