Ive a very weak teeth is it possible to have a teeth prepared and veneer fitted under sedation

Q. I have very weak teeth that crumble very easily – as a result I have lost many teeth and have some fillings. I would be very interested in having vaneers fited on all remaining teeth but also have a dentist phobia. Is it possible to have the teeth prepared and the vaneers fitted when under sedation?!?

A. It sounds as though you will need to have crowns for your teeth as they protect the remaining toooth structure from further damage. Many practices offer sedation. this can be in the form of:
ORAL sedation- tablet form that eases your nerves before your dental appointment.
IV sedation- intra-venously administered into your system. This is a good option for very nervous patients. You will be awake and responsive, yet really realxed and not really bothered by the dental treatmnet. You may also experience amnesia afterwards- so that you appointment may not even be remembered!
Please be aware that you will need to be escorted home from the practice. Please discuss this with your local provider of this facility to see if you are a suitable candidtae. Certain medical conditions may prevet you from being able to have this treatment.
It is very important that you feel comfortable with the dentist and the dental practice that you will be receiving your treatment. good luck.
