It has been 2 days after finishing the RCT and i still have continuous tooth ache is this normal?

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009
Q.
Dear Rob Tennet, I had cavity in one of my upper jaw tooth and just did my RCT. i had three visits in total for this treatment. During the first visit, dentist removed and cleaned my tooth with different tools and temporary filled it, i still had toothache after it. During the 2nd visit, the dentist still found infection and again used the tools to clean the infection, after that my toothache was almost finished. In the last visit, the dentist did permanent filling and before that did various long procedures to finally end it. From that day onwards i am having continuous tooth ache and cannot touch that teeth normally which i use to do before. Hence its 2nd day after finishing the RCT. Is this normal? I can easily drink HOT and COLD Stuff but cannot chew and bite easily. I have started taken Ponstan. Please advice if its abnormal. i am tensed as i think the dentist is on vacation these days.

I wold like my front teeth to be centralised again which would be a appropriate technique

Q.
Dear Dr Andrew I had a plastic brace which fit into the roof of my mouth as a child and then metal ones as well as an extraction in the upper set of teeth to make space. The extraction has caused my front teeth to move to the left. Ever since my wisdom teeth came out,- a couple of which were impacted, both upper and lower sets of my teeth are bunched up and misaligned. I would like my front teeth to be centralised again. Which would be the most appropriate technique to opt for when seeing a private orthodontic?

Even having the tooth out five months down the line I still left with very sore gums any suggestions

Friday, May 22nd, 2009
Q.
In January of this year I was experiencing chronic toothache and sore gums but the dentist couldn`t find anyting wrong with my teeth. several fillings were removed and replaced and still i was getting toothache. I went to see a root canal specialist who couldn`t find anything really wrong but suggested the tooth came out.Since the tooth coming out I have had several pieces of bone appearing which have had to be removed and my gums are still store and I still feel there is bone coming through although an x ray revealed no more tissue or bone should come through. I saw a facial consultant and he originally thought i had an abccess. so even having the tooth out five months down the line i am still left with very sore gums. any suggestions as i don`t know where to go next

Q.
My son is just to turn one year old. He has 4 teeth top and bottom. He has always had a large gap between his front top 2 teeth, but today Ive noticed another tooth growing in this gap! Im worried. Ive looked on the web and have seen “supernumery teeth” is this what he may have? If so what will happen to this tooth? Will it have to be pulled out? I dont think I would want him to keep the tooth as the pictures Ive seen look awful. Please help – Im so upset

i cracked one of my front teeth would the dentist drill it out and replace it with composite

Monday, May 11th, 2009
Q.
Dear Dr. Tennet, I feel I have pretty good oral health however, I do grind my teeth occasionally and sometimes clench them during the day. recently, I think I cracked one of my front teeth. I think the crack occurred in the back of the tooth. I don’t think it’s serious because I can’t see it and it doesn’t cause me any pain or great sensitivity to hot or cold but I notice it when I exhale. Can this be treated and if so, how? Would the dentist drill it out and replace the crack with some sort of composite or resin? If the crack is in the center of the tooth, would he do the same. I appreciate any response. Thank you so much.

i am worried about my teeth coming forward what can i do for this please advice

Saturday, May 2nd, 2009
Q.
Dear DR. 4 of my teeth were removed when I was 14 as they were overlaid. And then I wore removable braces for some time and after that my teeth looked really nice and perfect. I had the loveliest smile out of all my friends. But during the past two years my teeth have come forward and now they look worse than ever before. I am depressed and worried about this as I have completely lost my smile. I m ready to spend any amount and I don’t mind even extracting teeth and all I want is to have my smile back by pushing my teeth back in to their proper places. When I go to my family dentist , he said that he only can align the teeth but not to push them back. I am really worried about this and I want to have the perfect teeth back somehow. So DR. what can I do for this? .please advice me ..
