Do you know a good dentist in london who performs ALF treatment

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009
Q.
Hi So, I’m 40 & have finally got round to getting my teeth straightened. They’re not bad except there’s crowding & my teeth are not in a nice round arch. I have some back tweaks & also grind, so ALF seems to be the best treatment. Straightened teeth in a holistic way. So my question: anyone know of a good dentist in London who performs this treatment as I would like to book a consultation. I sent an email in the ‘Contact Us’ section of this website but failed to receive an answer as yet. Thanks

My teeth are crooked and I cant afford to pay privately what are my options now?

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009
Q.
Hi dr, i had fixed braces for 18months when i was 12 i wore the retainer as instructed and now im 26 they are back how they were. due to my age my dentist informed me i would not be eligable for nhs treatment for braces as i was over 18. i cant afford to pay privatly , my front 2 cross over slightly but its the next 2 cross over front 2 and one sticks right out of my lips when i close my mouth. the rest arent very straight but it just the front ones which bother me. i try not to smile if possible because of this and i want to know is there no way for me to get this through the nhs or can i get a home kit to do it myself i know you wouldnt reccommend for me to attempt it myself but it has got to that stage where i would. please help thanks x

What would be done to compensate for the permanent loss of tooth enamel?

Monday, August 17th, 2009
Q.
I’ve been advised that to straighten my front tooth with invisalign, filing is necessary. About 1 or 2mm is proposed. What would be done to compensate for this permanent loss of tooth enamel? Thank you

What material technology you suggest for my front teeth

Monday, August 17th, 2009
Q.
Dear Dr Justin I have read a couple of your answers regarding crowns, which is my main concern (at age 27). My dentist has quoted me on work that needs to be done [5 crowns(UL1,2,5 & UR1,2), 2 veneers(UR3,UL3), 3 composites(UL4 & UR4,5)] plus hygiene, whitening, etc and I want to make sure I get it done properly as it’s mostly front teeth (mostly cosmetic work) and I don’t want to spend money on something that isn’t going to last or isn’t done so that I walk out happy. What would you suggest is the material/technology that is best for front teeth and that will last long but look natural? Also, what would you suggest is a rough estimate costing for this(without seeing my teeth I understand it can’t be very accurate)? I currently have a crown on UR2 on a post which is almost 10 years old which needs to be replaced – as it stands out agains the rest of the teeth(colour). UL5 is also a crown that the dentist wants to replace (I think it’s more to match colour, not sure if this is needed, although it is a little loose but has never bugged me). What type of follow up treatment should I expect to have after this amount of work, as I want to be prepared for what needs to be done in the future. Sorry, it’s a long list of questions and I hope it’s not too confusing. I look forward to hearing from you. Kind Regards

Would I need to have teeth extracted for the brace to work?

Monday, August 17th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I have some questions about six month braces and what they can achive, all my upper and lower front teeth have mild crowding except my lower two front teeth that slightly overlap by roughly 2mm, my worry is if i would need to have teeth extracted for the brace to work, basically what i am asking is how much room can be made with this brace ie: does it widen arches to make room, and how much space can be created with reprox or tooth slenderising not sure of the correct term for this, also does reprox affect the health of teeth. Thanks for taking the time to read my question.
