Dear Sir, I am 23 years old and I have protruding teeth. My friends tell me that it is too late to have braces or braces will be of no use if I use them at this age as my bones would have already hardened. Is it still possible to succesfully set my teeth straight permanently ?

My white filling are sensitive what do you suggest?

I have recently had my old silver fillings replaced with white fillings and have had a lot of pain when eating hot,cold and sweet foods. My dentist said this is normal as white fillings are sensitive for some time after. It’s been about 3 months now and still the same. No x-rays were taken prior to or after having them filled. What do you suggest? Many Thanks

My daughter is 15 and she still has her front milk tooth please advice?

Hi My daughter has a front milk tooth that has not fallen yet. She is 15 years old. This has made one of her permant front middle teeth to get pushed on top of the other front middle tooth. My questions are 1. would it be best to get the milk tooth extracted 2. Put braces to correct the position of the teeth in the entire upper jaw, and would this push the front teeth into correct position. 3. Is she too old now for us to rectify this. Cheers

My broken teeth hurts now but i cant afford an implant what should I do?

Ive braces on my teeth and they are wobbly is it okay?

Ive had braces on my upper teeth since about January and recently Ive noticed i can move them back and forward as if they were wobbly. I assumed this was just the brace doing its job but not my bottom teeth have started wobbling. Should i be worried?

Hi, I wanted to know what options I have about my top front four teeth. I have over the years stripped the enamel off the back of them to the point they are seethrough the result is my teeth are weak and the tops of my teeth have started to chip whilst eating. My dentist has suggested building my teeth up with a filling on the back almost like plastering the back of my teeth. Will this be strong enough because I’m a bit worried. What other options do I have? Thank you in advance

My front teeth are longer than all the rest can it be filed down?

Hi dr moore, I have been suffering with tooth loss and broken teeth for some years now. I dont have the confidance to smile’ laugh or go out with friends on social gatherings anymore. Thi problem is realy getting me down and depressed as i get horrible thoughts going through my head about going to the dentist. I know myself i should have done something about it years aggo, but feel realy ashamed at what the dentist would think. Please could you give me some reasuring advice.

Hi, Having great difficulty comming to terms with my dentist discovering an infection in the root of the tooth next to one of my front teeth. He says its draining? However did not prescribe antibiotics and is insistent that the tooth needs to come out. (By the way its a crown) He’s mentioned an implant the future but for now I’ve just had an impression done for a denture! He seemed very concerned about the urgency for this to be done and has worried me considerably and how I will come to terms with a denture. I feel he has not given me enough information to make an informed desision. Can you help?
