My 3yr old has wobbly front tooth is it too early to lose her tooth?

Friday, September 11th, 2009
Q.
Hi Dr. Caplan, my daughter will be 3 in 2 weeks time and she already has a very wobbly front tooth. Is this something I should be worried about, surely she is too young to be losing her first teeth, and should I book a visit to the dentist for her. We do take care of her teeth and they are brushed twice a day so am quite concerned. Many thanks.

Im 23 and am embarrassed with my teeth what can i do?

Friday, September 11th, 2009
Q.
Hi Dr Moore Im 23 and am extremely embarrased at the state of my teeth. Toward the back I have lost two on the upper jaw, and have lost part of three teeth on the bottom jaw – presumably from caries. There are also small holes in two of my front teeth near the gumline I feel very nervous at the propect of going to see the dentist because I have neglected my oral healthcare, although I do brush regularly now – I was never really promted to during my childhood. I dont where possible want to have any, or many teeth extracted as I dont discuss my oral health with my partner – again, too embarrased as her teeth are great – she is registered with an NHS dentist wheras I am not and have been reluctant to do so because i feel the way i do. What other options are there to retain as many of my current teeth? i understand without an examination its difficult to say, but from a worst case scenario.. I especially do not want to have to wear dentures, so other options would be essential for this. I have done a bit of research into some of the options, but I thought i would pluck up the courage and speak to someone about it. Many thanks,

My front teeth were decayed and extracted can i still have implants?

Thursday, September 10th, 2009
Q.
Hi. About 6 weeks ago, I got told by my dentist that my four front teeth were decaying, and he was replacing with a denture. But then 3 weeks latley i had two of my teeth: one side and front tooth knocked out (two of them were the decaying ones.) And i’ve had the other two taking and out, and I’ve got a denture now. But i find it weird to wear and I’ve got special needs aswell so it’s diffcult for me to get use too it, but I was wondering because I’ve got a denture now, could I still have Implants done? or is it to late to have them?

I have a gap between two of my front teeth and i was wondering what kind of treatment i could get in order to close the gap. I was researching about tooth bonding and just wanted to ask if you thought that would be the best thing to do in order to close the gap?

Is dentures a best option for my sensitive teeth

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009
Q.
I have gum disease and tomorrow I am having yet another tooth taken out from the top this will only leave 7 teeth, no back teeth. It is difficult to eat meat now and I cannot bear my teeth to be cleaned as they are so sensitive. I feel my only option now is to have the 7 teeth removed and wear a top denture. I do have a phobia about the Dentist and at 50 now it will never improve. My Dentist has now realised that I cannot put up with the pain of them being cleaned and would need each tooth to be numbed. Do you think my best option is to go for a top denture?

My teeth are almost see through thin would lumineers are right for me?

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009
Q.
Hello, I am a 25 year female. When I was 22, I had the zoom whitening procedure done on my teeth, followed by at home bleaching trays which left my teeth whiter, but almost see through thin. I have stopped using the trays because I honestly feel like my teeth will fall out if I bleach them any more! I would really like to look into lumineers to help brighten and change my smile (I have never really liked the shape of my teeth). However, I have a couple of concerns. One of my eye teeth is really crocked and I am not sure if a lumineer can still be placed over it. Also, I have heard that you have to be very careful about what you eat because they chip very easy. What more can you tell me to help me decide of lumineers are right for me?
