Hi Dr Moore, I was hoping you could give me some advice. I am a 20 year old female, and when i was 16 i had metal braces to straighten my teeth through the nhs. My orthodontist made a great job and i was very pleased with the results. However, i stupidly kept forgetting to wear my retainers and one of my lateral incisors has pushed back between my front incisor and canine. (apologies for my wording here i dont know the correct names for the teeth!) The rest of my teeth are fine but as you can imagine that one tooth is making my smile crooked! Can you help me and tell me the best way to resolve this, preferably without going through 2 years of braces again! I just want to push that tooth back out! I am willing to pay whatever it costs! Can you give me any help? Thanks.

I have a few questions about invisible braces:
What are the differences between the two?
How long will it take? I have been prompted to take action as I am getting married at the end of the year and although from the front my teeth look quite straight from the side they look really uneven. If I started it asap would it make much difference by December? I am happy to continue for longer, I would just like some difference by then.
How much does it cost? Which one is more cheap/expensive?
Are the effects lasting? I had a metal brace as a teenager that improved my teeth a bit but I don’t think it was kept on long enough. I would be willing to wear a retainer if it keeps my teeth nice.
Is Clearstep a suitable alternative to cases where Invisalign would work?
Does Clearstep require attachments to the teeth the same as Invisalign?
Could you suggest me a good professional cosmetic dentistry expert in Oxford?

Can you have an implant years after the tooth has been removed?
Tuesday, May 31st, 2011 How long after the removal of a tooth can I have an implant? Is 20 years too long? At that time, I lost a tooth and had a bridge fitted. However, my back, upper tooth which was supporting the bridge, has broken and had to be removed. I could have it replaced with an implant and then have a new bridge fitted but I would prefer to have the implant where the original tooth was taken out. I would then just have a small gap at the very back of my mouth. My dentist is telling me that
a person can have an implant at any time but the dentist of a relative of mine told him that the implant had to be done within three months of losing the tooth. Which is correct?

I got braces put on last october and i have just been given elastic bands to wear on my back teeth to my front; i got tols by a friend that elastic bands are the last part of orthodontic treatment, is this true? if so, if i wear my elastics 24/7 how long will it take for my braces to be taken off?

Tuesday, April 5th, 2011Mark, I have broken my Jaw and at the moment I have it wired. When I fell I also broke 3 front teeth, which were temporarily repaired. I have 4 weeks to go. I want to have my teeth repaired so i have a fabulous smile again. One other tooth is wobbly and is possibly fractured. I want it done as soon as possible once my jaw is repaired how long will the whole process take. I have a wedding in august.
My teeth are already straight after 6 months of brace treatment, will they need to stay on for the full 2 years?
