Q.
My 82 year old mother with parkinsons had work done on her teeth – fillings etc and when she drove home afterwards she was involved in an accident. Could this at all be related to the dentistry procedures. Thank you regards

my third tooth is twisted

Friday, December 12th, 2008
Q.
Hi I was hoping you could give me an idea of what the best way of sorting out my smile would be and maybe a rough idea of how much it would cost. When i was younger my third tooth i think its called the canine grew twisted and closer to the front than it should have because of this my second tooth never grew so now i have one tooth in the middle of where two teeth should be with gaps on both sides. i don’t mind if my rogue tooth needed to be removed for the best results. But i would like to be able to smile properly as quickly and cheaply as possible as it is really beginning to get me down. Thank you in advance for your help & advice I look forward to hearing from you.

I have a very large filling in one of my upper rear teeth

Monday, December 8th, 2008
Q.
Hi, my question relates to crowns. I have a very large filling in one of my upper rear teeth (second from the back) my dentist thought the cavity was really a bit large to be filling but i didn’t want to lose the tooth so it was filled. I’ve been very careful with it and its lasted about 8 months but part of the tooth has now broken off, i assume this will only get worse and so my question is can the filling be ground down allong with the remaining tooth to support a crown, or does the filling have to be removed and the crown bonded just to the tooth as i don’t think there will be enough material to bond to if the filling is removed. thanks.

my teeth are stained a kind of yellow

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008
Q.
Hi Ok i hate my smile, my teeth are stained a kind of yellow and i have cavities. My biggest fear in the world is the dentist everytime i go i have a panic attack and it makes the treatment more stressfull for me and the dentist. I wonder if you can help me, by having sleep dentistry is it possible for me to have fillings, teeth whitened etc all in one go whilst asleep? Then i feel that if i had a better smile then i would take proper care of my teeth. The problem is that im ony 16 can i still have treatment done at this age? and roughly how much would it cost? If you could let me know then it would be great, because having a new, nicer smile would give me the confidence that i need and you would be a lifesaver. x

I was told that I require five fillings

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008
Q.
HI! I was at then dentist today and was told that I require five fillings, four amalgam at the back of my mouth and a composite filling at the front, I already have alot of Amalgam fillings and I have heard storys of the mercury from them leaking into your blood stream, are they harmful?? would I be better looking to get white fillings?? and get the amalgam ones i already got replaced?. Alot of my fillings are at the back of my mouth and I read that almagam are stronger than white fillings. Could you please advise. Thankyou.

I am a 32 year old ive have had eight tooth fillings

Thursday, November 6th, 2008
Q.
Hello Dr Komal Suri, I am a 32 year old, have had eight tooth fillings done with silver amalgum about twelve years ago. I have not been to a dentist since, Recently I have noticed three dark spots on the teeth inside my mouth which also cause some uncomfortable pain. What could be the cause of these symptoms? Is it advisible to have the old silver amalgum fillings replaced with white ones? as I belive silver amalgum is toxic heavy metal which can promote disease like cancer. Thanking you in anticipation Kind regards

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008
Q.
I recently had two small fillings behind my front tooth, after the injection wore off my teeth where extemely sensitive, then it stopped. For nearly a week now iv had tooth ache, but the pain has changed now though its continuous and my top teeth (next to the tooth I had filled) feel loose could this be due to the work I had done?
