I’ve been told that, probably, I’m not suitable for braces because I have 2 bridges. One is on the top left and one is on the top right and also because I’m missing almost all of my teeth on bottom left (this is due to an attempt to straighten my teeth with removable braces. I had one tooth removed and in the process the tooth next to it ended up broken and I lost that as well). So I wouldn’t have enough support for the braces. Besides all this, I have had heavy restoring work done on several of my teeth. The crowding on my bottom teeth is more severe than the top ones and the alignment of my smile is about 2mm to the (my) right. I really want to straighten my teeth so I can have implants fitted afterwards. What would be your advice?

Friday, February 6th, 2015I have a middle line tooth. My two middle teeth are off set to the right, causing my tooth to be centred in my mouth line. Is there anything that can be done to straighten the middle two to have them central and correct? Thank you. I had braces when I was younger to push them over but it didn’t work. My teeth are too big for my mouth and I’m missing an incisor on one side, so this is what causes the teeth and centre line not to be straight. I know Tom Cruise suffers from the same problem! If that helps for a visual aspect.
Can You Tell Me If Polycarbonate Braces Are Better Than Damon Braces?
Monday, March 10th, 2014I visited a dentist recently for RCT and cap, I have been toying with the idea of getting braces and so I started some research and came across damon/damon clear, etc. So when I asked him about it he said that he uses polycarbonate braces which are advanced and a bit cheaper. I came back and when I searched I couldn’t find anything about polycarbonate being better than Damon, I have another visit scheduled tomorrow, what are the questions I need to ask him before I go through with it? I also read that plastic braces contain BPA and it increases over time. I am confused, any help is appreciated.
I Have Confidence Issues As I Have An Underbite And A Small Jaw. Could I Get This Sorted Through The NHS?
Thursday, January 30th, 2014Hi, I am 21 years old and have an under-bite and also a small top jaw. I got told I could have it on the NHS but my parents were too worried about the potential side effects of having it done so they paid for my to have an upper brace to sort out my top teeth. However, my confidence is still very low and now wish I had had it done. I emailed my old orthodontists to enquire whether I can have this procedure now. They said I couldn’t have it done any more as I am over 18 but I recall my orthodontist saying I still could due to how bad my jaw(s) are. So now I am very confused, please help!
Can I still have braces although my wisdom teeth are missing?

I had braces years ago from the ages of 12 to 15.
Im now 34, i have 2 molars missing, one on each side on the upper jaw. I really would like to have braces again as my teeth are spacing out terribly again & my bite isnt straight.
Will i be able to have braces even though those 2 molars are missing?

My daughter had her baby tooth removed (next to front teeth – upper) 4 yrs ago, then a brace was fixed to bring down her permanent tooth. The orthodontist said she would shift her teeth over to bring down the permanent tooth. Well, 4 yrs later, the tooth came down, but she is still in braces and her bite is completely off and her teeth are slanted. What can we do? I have consulted 3 other orthodontists who are not sure about taking over treatment. Please advise me! Thank you!

I am asking this on behalf of my 22 year old son , as we are unsure as to what kind of consultation or clinic is needed.
He wore braces for 2 years but was unhappy about the result after time he returned to the orthodontist and was told his teeth were in fact perfect, and that his concern about looking ‘goofy’ was that he had a short upper lip and possibly a slightly receded chin.
so he would now like to have somebody who can evaluate his face/teeth and make his smile better as he struggles to close his mouth naturally, and this is affecting his confidence massively, we do not no which area of help to look at is it dentistry/cosmetic surgery ideally he would just like a more natural look .
I hate my sunken smile, how can I fix this?

I had braces and had my 4 teeth extracted because i was not going to have enough space for my teeth to straighten out and with no teeth taken out my teeth were going to be to crowded and my lips were going to be sticking out to much( since i have thick lips). It was 2 from the top and 2 from the bottom and had no wisdom teeth cause they were taken out all 4 long time ago. My gums were being pulled back to close the gaps of the extracted tooths. At the end, all my teeth were straight but now my mouth looks like its sunken and my lips dont show anymore. I would like to have my lips back.Can the gums go back to where they were before and the same with the teeth? I know that i will be having the gap open, but is there a way i can have my teeth straight, and my lips outward without having my mouth looking sunken. Everytime i smile my teeth are straight but my smile looks sunken and my lips too, i dont like my smile.Know i wish i hadn’t taken any teeth out even if they were crooked. I had advised my orthodontist that i din’t wanted for my mouth to look sunken but there was nothing else to do, it was too late, the gaps were not yet closed. Do i need to consider tooth implant?How can this be fix. Please help me. Thank you for your time.

i was wondering if i could get a quick estimate? how much roughly would lingual six month smile braces cost. I’ve found estimates for normal six month smiles in a place in Birmingham for around £1400, im not sure if this would be an accurate quote. i was wondering whether the cost of lingual six month braces normally be considerably higher than this? Ive been online and have seen both the dental suites in leicester as well as one in loughborough are advertising that they do this type of lingual six month smile treatment. i was hoping you would you know of any place in/around birmingham who also offer this service?
Can my Gummy Smile be Corrected?

Thank you for the information you sent me regarding options for correcting a gummy smile. I will send you a photo privately.
I do, in fact, have an overbite, and have always had it. Could you explain a bit more about the jaw repositioning procedure, the risks and also recovery time?
Lastly, I have a bit of a narrow face and a longish chin, would jaw repositioning exaggerate this and push my jaw out to correct the overbite? If so, what further procedure could be done to balance this?
