Q.
Im a 15 year old with front tooth that is crooked as well as the front two have a small gap. i havent lost all of my teeth yet, which is kinda odd, and dont think i would be able to get braces because of the cost, because we dont have orthodontic insurance. what do you recommend? A veneer for that specific tooth? and if so, what would you say the cost is?

Q.
Hi i am a43 year old woman who has just had her braces off after 18 months i had the treatment for a very large overbite. but i am not happy with the result as i still have a really large overbite and was wondering if i had a couple of teeth out from the back and had invisaline braces would my teeth move back any more as they are still resting on my bottom lip, i have spent 3000 on this treatment and i just feel like it was a waste of time and money, and can you please tell me at the moment i an wearing essex retainers and have been for nearly 5 months but my teeth are still not setting in the jaw bone if i leave the retainers out for a hour when i eat i struggle to get them back on.this cant be right. can anyone please help me with this problem as im so depressed i was expecting at least some change in how i look, and feel as if it was all a waste of time and money, i would be willing to do anything to change my overbite and get my teeth to sit behind my lip as i feel so uncomfortable about the way i look thankyou for your help

My left canine wont grow into its space and incisor is wobbly

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008
Q.
I’m a 19 year old girl and have had trouble with my left Canine tooth. For some reason the tooth didnt grow down and so i had one tooth pulled out (to create space) and an operation to uncover the Canine. I was told there may be problems with its Growth, luckily the tooth did make progress and the tip of the tooth is about half way into the space now (after 2 years of patiently waiting) however, the tooth next to the canine (lateral incisor- if thats what you call it!) seems to have become wonky and wobbly, and so my dentist is at a loss as to how to move the canine further down as it appears to be remaining stationary now. have you got any suggestions as to what dentistry might be available to me, im not sure if the tooth will move further by its self? quite worried i\’ll lose the tooth next to it if something isnt done and im self-conscious of my smile.

I have a slight midline shift between my upper and lower teeth will braces work

Saturday, May 31st, 2008
Q.
I currently have braces for my upper arch only due to financial issues. I have a slight mid-line discrepancy between both arches. After the top braces are removed and my finances permit, I would like to know if this mid-line discrepancy can be fixed by braces on the lower arch only? Thanks.

I have a deep overbite and want genioplasty to reposition my pronounced jaw

Saturday, May 31st, 2008
Q.
I dont really know where to start or what the clinical terms are for my particular problem..I have an extremely deep overbite where my top jaw completely bites over my bottom jaw.. this causes my lower face to look collapsed and my chin is very pronounced ( apparently this is because my lower jaw has had to take the weight from my upper jaw. I was meant to have corrective surgery on my jaw when I was younger but my parents couldn’t afford it, I have always been so embarrassed about my side profile as it makes me look like a witch ….and I now at 24 years old want to have the surgery I should of had as a child. My question is: – What is the cost involved in surgery to reposition my jaw AND then have genioplasty to reduce my pronounced jaw (chin)? …AND would I have to have braces fitted again? ..I did have braces about 7 years ago to close some large gaps as I am missing teeth (I had braces on for 3-4 years) ..I then got 3 bidges on my front lower teeth to fill these gaps.. So my teeth have been relatively sorted out but my jaw and the semitry of my face is ALL wrong. Please could you estimate a price of this type of surgery and recommend a good surgeon? Thanks a bunch.
