Q. Im a 15 year old with front tooth that is crooked as well as the front two have a small gap. i havent lost all of my teeth yet, which is kinda odd, and dont think i would be able to get braces because of the cost, because we dont have orthodontic insurance. what do you recommend? A veneer for that specific tooth? and if so, what would you say the cost is?

A. At your age a veneer may well damage the nerve of your tooth and could require root canal treatment or even future loss of your tooth.  My recommendation would be to either wait until you are in your early 20’s before veneering or better still save money for the next couple of years and have a brace.
