Can you suggest what treatment to use to correct my inward-facing bottom teeth and outward-facing top teeth?

Monday, January 17th, 2011
Q.

Hi Dr.Solanki,

I had undergone root canal treatment on my upper front teeth which broke when i was a kid. Apparently I had to cover that tooth with a cap and my upper row of front teeth are projecting a little outwards. My lower row of teeth are crooked and are pointing a little inwards. Please suggest me a way to get my teeth aligned ??

Q.

Hello Dr , I am an 18 year old male with teeth that protrude by 4mm. I have very short roots so have been advised against braces, but I am very concerned about the appearance of my teeth because I am going to be studying drama at university in two years time. Can veneers, crowns, or anything else be used to improve the appearance of these teeth? any help would be appreciated- thanks alot

What can I do to correct my protruding, twisted teeth?

Thursday, December 9th, 2010
Q.

I am a 47 year old with protruding front teeth that are also twisted which makes my whole lower face jut out. I would love to straighten my teeth push them back and have a nice smile before my 50th. Right now I hate taking photos. I am British Afro Caribbean and have been told that a lot of black skins have this facial feature but this only due to my teeth. What can be done and what will be the cost…Help.

What are my best options to correct a protruding canine tooth and slight overbite?

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010
Q.

Good Afternoon Dr. Verma,

I visited two orthodontists and a dentist for my right upper canine tooth that is slightly protruding.

The first orthodontists, said that i needed to remove both left and right 2nd premolars and wear braces for two years then retainers, because i also have a slight overbite.

The second said the same thing. but i only need it on top.

The dentist said that since its the canine tooth that’s protruding, i could wear a hawley retainer to pull/push it in for a year.

Do you think the hawley retainer would actually work?

And is it really necessary for them to remove the premolars if it is slightly protruding?
