I’m Scared I’ll Lose Two Teeth As I Have An Overbite. Would I Be Suitable For Damon Braces?

Monday, January 6th, 2014
Q.

Hi Mark. I would like some information from you. I’ve had fixed braces for about two years now but my orthodontist says I need two upper teeth taken out and I am incredibly scared of dentists. I heard about the Damon system but my parents are having none of it but I am NOT having those teeth out I was wondering what the price would be? I have an overbite according to one orthodontist but my jaw’s too far back according to another. I just want to know if I could be right for them. Thank you for taking the time to address my concerns.

My Teeth Have Begun To Shift Alignment Since My Mid-Twenties. What Will Sort This Out?

Wednesday, December 11th, 2013
Q.

I have always had quite cosmetic teeth. However, since my mid-twenties, I have noticed that my two front teeth seem to be slowly shifting to the right. The middle of one of my front teeth is now aligned with the middle of my lips.

Another tooth has become crooked and is now slightly covering one of my front teeth. I was told that this tooth can be fixed with braces.

I have a genetic overbite which I am happy with. However, I am concerned about the shifting of my two front teeth. They are still perfectly straight – just moving to the right. Is this likely to get worse over time? Is there any treatment that I can have to move them back to the centre of my mouth and keep them there?

Many thanks.

Do You Need Braces If You Only Have A Little Bit Of An Overbite?

Monday, December 2nd, 2013
Q.

Do you need braces if you only have a little bit of overbite? My top four teeth are covering my four bottom teeth just a tiny bit so would I need braces? Would I need braces on my top teeth and my bottom teeth or just the top teeth or the bottom teeth? Also my four bottom teeth are a tiny bit crooked as well, would I need braces for that? What kind of health issues are caused by overcrowding? Thank you, I know I have a lot of questions, but any information you can provide me with would be a great help.

My Dentist Recommends Braces For Me But I’m Unsure. What Other Treatment Should I Consider?

Friday, November 29th, 2013
Q.

In the upper front of my mouth, I have a very bad overbite with a very large gap in the middle. My gap looks like I have a tooth missing but I don’t it is just a large gap. The two teeth on both sides of the gap are the overbite. Will I be able to get a partial, I can not afford implants, What do you recommend? I am a female middle age and I am not comfortable smiling. Is it too late to make the repairs needed. I can not afford dental implants. I know I will have to have the two front teeth removed. Is it normal to have a gap this large? My dentist recommends braces, I do not want to go that route, one of my front teeth is loose and I don’t think braces is the answer.

If I Send You My Dental X-Ray Photo, Can You Tell Me If My Overbite Can Be Fixed?

Thursday, October 24th, 2013
Q.

Hi, I was wondering if I sent you my dental X-ray, whether you could tell me if my overbite can be corrected? I have a deep overbite and I was wondering if it could be corrected in any way at all? With or without surgery. I just do not like having the overbite and I also lost a tooth and the filling came out of the same tooth because of it. I had a root canal years ago and had a crown and post put in and then that came out maybe because of my overbite as my bottom teeth were pushing right up towards it. I hope you can offer suggestions to help me fix my overbite problems.

In My Opinion, My Braces Were Taken Off Before They Were Ready, What Should I Now Do To Achieve My Perfect Smile?

Wednesday, October 23rd, 2013
Q.

I’ve had braces before and in my opinion were taken off before the teeth were fully ‘perfect’ I have quite yellow teeth and two central veneers which are starting to become uncomfortable as I think I have an over bite a lot of the teeth are fillings but feel gappy, and my gums are tender. Ideally I’m looking for the perfect smile but I would also like to improve the overall heath and sensitivity of my gums and smile. The question I would like to ask is: What work would need to be done and how much would it cost?

After Doing Some Research On Veneers, I Want To Know If They Will Look Too Bulky?

Thursday, October 10th, 2013
Q.

I chipped my front tooth that had composite bonding. I was told to get 8 veneers. I have a slight overbite. I already had the prep work done and am on my 2nd dentist. I have the temporaries and there is a large space between the back of my top teeth and the front of my bottom teeth. You can stick your fingernail under them. I have been doing research online and saw if you have an overbite the veneers will look bulky. Is it too late to get composite bonding so I won’t have to worry?

Hello, What Kind Of Treatment Am I Looking At To Fix My Overbite?

Thursday, September 5th, 2013
Q.

Hello, what I would like to inform you is that I have slightly prominent teeth with an overbite that is off-centre to the right of my mouth and I would like this corrected so that my teeth would not be prominent and also in-line with my bottom row, this is quite a disconcerting problem for me at this time. I would be open to all available options and opinions but I’d also like to state that my two front teeth at the top are crowns and are also very long, and this is also something which bothers me. Is there anyway that these problems could be rectified and what exactly would the treatment involve?

Thank You and Kind Regards.

Good Day, Is It Possible To Fix My Overbite With Braces?

Tuesday, August 27th, 2013
Q.

Good Day,

I’m 23 years old and have always been in need of braces/dental correction as I have an overbite on my front teeth which is quite deep. I’d hate the idea of wearing metallic braces or any sort of braces really that are visible as I would feel very conscious of them, at the same time I do need correction. I was wondering if sub-lingual braces could be a solution to my case and if so, how long would the treatment last and how much would it come to? As I travel a lot and tend to move country every 6 months to a year due to my job, I’d like to try the quickest or easiest solution, without having to sacrifice my job or having a beautiful smile. Do You think Invisalign could be a solution for my overbite as well? Many thanks.

Would I Be Able To Get Braces Without Having Teeth Removed?

Friday, August 9th, 2013
Q.

Hello, I visited an orthodontist a couple of months ago because my two top front teeth are overlapped by the teeth either side of them. I do not like this for cosmetic reasons (although I have never had any other issues with eating etc). While there, he diagnosed me with a minor cross-bite, and a minor overbite, and gave me various options of braces for a year and a half. What he said would definitely be necessary to do would be to remove two teeth up in the top, which would allow the rest of the teeth space to move back, and the overlapping teeth to stop overlapping. What I was wondering, is if it would be possible to have those two teeth out, and then six months (ish) of braces just to spread my teeth back out into the new space, and then to stop having braces and to not have a retainer either. If I had this procedure, would the teeth stay in their new position, without a need for a retainer, as the only reason they were overlapping was due to overcrowding? Thank you in advance for your response!
