Q.
I need three tooth implants, two on the left, one on the right.. all upper tier. I’m so scared of dentists and the pain they cause. Could I get this treatment under a full sedative? Can I also get this treatment under the NHS? Look forward to your response, Thank You,

My 5 year old daughter has a severe bite problem, what can I do about this?

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010
Q.
My 5 year old daughter has a phase 3 bite. I have been advised that she can have a brace fitted to increase the size of her top jaw. I am aware that this is very expensive and I have limited resources. Can this be funded by the NHS? I do not want her to have to wait until she is a teenager. Her bite is not really bad at present but I understand that it will get significantly worse during puberty. My daughter is very tall for her age and is more than likely to hit puberty earlier than her peers. I would really appreciate some advice. Kind regards.

Can I get braces on the NHS for £198?

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010
Q.
i had a fixed brace at the age of 11 and then again at about 15. both times my teeth went back to the way they were even though i wore the retainer like asked. i was recently told by my dentist that this may have been due to them not removing enough teeth to make space. i’m now 24 years old and i hate my smile. i have searched around and saw that i can get braces on the nhs for £198. is this correct, and how do i find out more infomation? i dont want to pay thousands as it wasnt my fault enough teeth were not removed.,

My dental plate has snapped, what can I do about this?

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010
Q.
After having had a dental plate for two front teeth for over ten years I decided to have it replaced on the NHS by my dentist because it had become too loose. I duly had one fitted and six months down the line it has snapped…I was eating a chicken sandwich! As you will appreciate I’m not very happy about this as this treatment, even on the NHS is expensive. Will I have to fork out all over again even though its only lasted such a short amount of time?,
