Can you tell me something about products such a “gishy goo”? Where can I buy this in europe? It is a silicon for lingual braces. Used I believe in the US but not common here or in Europe! A great pity – as it relieves the pain for ados. with ling. braces. Is there another product as good??? Please reply.,

I am coming close to the end of wearing incognito lingual braces. I will have to have a wire glued to the backs of my teeth to keep them in place. My orthodontist offers two years of after care. What will i do after that period ends ??,

My two front teeth have moved forward, is this because of the new lingual brace?

Thursday, March 18th, 2010
Q.
Hi, I had an upper lingual brace fitted two weeks ago and had extractions before as my teeth are overcrowded. However, it seems as though one of my front two teeth has moved further forward! is this possible or am I just being paranoid? And how long does it generally take for the gap to close? Would really appreiciate a reply – many thanks,

Is there any less obtrusive braces other than regular metal braces

Friday, December 18th, 2009
Q.
Hi Dr Caplan My daughter is 18, she has quite a severe prognathia – she has been advised she will need a mandibuloplasty which she is very prepared to have. Her main concern relates to the bracing afterwards – she had a consultation last year with an orthodontist who advised she would need a metal brace – an invisible would not be appropriate. She’s off to uni next september and the bracing is her biggest concern. Are you able to say if there are less obtrusive brace, perhaps even an option after a few months – if this were outwith the NHS we would be prepared to pay ourselves Regards

Uneven shaped teeth needs to be analysed for the correct treatment.

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009
Q.
Between the ages of 17 – 19 I had traditional braces. I am now 29 and find that my teeth have relapsed over time as my dentist warned they might. I wear a nightly retainer (which is a replacement if one I had and broke) but my teeth aren’t as they were when I first had my brace removed. The main issues are: a small ‘Madonnaesque’ gap between my front two teeth and the teeth wither side of those are rather short. I was wondering between veneers, invisalign and lumineers what I could consider to correct the problem. I want something that will completely close the gap without too much damage to my teeth which are white and in very good condition.
