What would be the cost of treatment for teeth alignment?

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009
Q.
Hi there, I’m just wondering about how much it will cost to align one of my canines in my mouth. It is only one tooth, but it sort of sticks out further than the others.

Can i get treatment at NHS for invisalign or inman braces?

Saturday, September 5th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I’m 16 and due to get fixed braces on top from the NHS, I already have these on the bottom but I already feel really conscious about them and have been researching on alternatives, such as Damon, Inman and Lingual braces, but as I don’t have a full time job I have no where enough for these, so I was wondering if I would receive any of these from the NHS? Or if there was any other alternative where they would be less visible? Thank You

I have overcrowded teeth can i go for a mouth makeover?

Saturday, September 5th, 2009
Q.
I would love a ‘mouth makeover’ and have quite a bit of overcrowding. I would like nice white straight teeth and would like to know the work involved and general cost of giving me straight teeth. I also feel my two front and bottom teeth are too long. What can be done to help me? Thanks.

Hi I am 59 years of age, and have had protruding front

Saturday, September 5th, 2009
Q.
Hi I am 59 years of age, and have had protruding front teeth since the age of nine. I have always been afraid of dentists due to a very bad experience at the age of 4 years. My question is am I too old to have them straightened and can anything be done, should the above be correct? I have been tormented by my peers both in my adult and child hood. Although I have coped with the teasing since I was a child, with the knowledge that it is thier problem, it has always left me feeling insecure. I would dearly love to have them straightened if possible for myself. I await in anticipation for your answer. Yours sincerely.

My front two teeth are crooked what can i do?

Saturday, September 5th, 2009
Q.
Hello, I have teeth that i am very happy with except for one of my front two teeth. One of the front two teeth i have seems to stick out or be in front of my other teeth. I absolutely do not want braces but i still want to fix that one tooth. I don’t think its a major crookedness if you may call it, but i still want to fix it because it makes my other teeth look kind of crooked. Is there anyway i can get this one too in the front fixed without getting braces?

How can misplaced teeth treated?

Friday, September 4th, 2009
Q.
Hi there, I have a tooth in the roof of my mouth just about half a centimetre behind my front teeth. I am 20 and have a slight gap where I assume this tooth should be. I also feel my front teeth are a bit big and it is making me feel insecure. What treatments would you recommend? Thankyou for your time.

Im 50 and I have crooked teeth can u suggest what to do?

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009
Q.
My upper four front teeth are quite big and as a result one incisor has been squeezed backwards and the other one infront and it is protruding in a very embarrassing way. The two lower teeth have been squeezed to the front, the incisors pushed virtually to the back and barely visible and the canines almost taking the incisors positions. I am an adult over 50 years and as you can imagine, wire braces would not be on my shopping list. Please advise me the best way forward and how long it would be to get my teeth straightened and how much it would cost. And do you have a payment plan?

Will drilling away enamel cause any problems in future?

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009
Q.
Hello Dr Caplan. I am due to have my teeth straightened with Invisalign braces. As I don’t have enough room in my mouth my orthodontist is going to drill a tiny amount of enamel away between each tooth. I was worried about this as I always thought damaging the enamel in any way was a bad thing – but he has advised me this won’t cause me any sentitivity and the drilled areas will harden again over time, and actually become harder than before the treatment. I’m very unsure about this – can you please let me know what your opinion is? Thank you.
