Hello, i have crowding on my lower teeth which is really bothering me however i dont want horrible looking braces as i am now 21. I also have my two front teeth which are starting to geta gap between them as a result; the rest of the upper teeth are good. I was wondering what the best procedures would be and how much on average they would cost as i am a student. Thank you!

I have a very bad protruding teeth is it possible to have cosmetic dentistry to deal with it?

Monday, June 1st, 2009
Q.
Hello- I no longer can stand my smile. I am 37 year old married mother of one and have very bad protruding front teeth. I need to know who I can go to to have this fixed – I tried wearing braces in school in the eigthies and was teased and bullied, so I stopped, I do not want to wear visable braces now. Is it possible to have comestic dentisrty to deal with my terrible teeth? – I feel so bad about my teeth that I have never had a picture taken with my baby girl or my husband. My wedding photos have never seen the light of day !!!..I do not want my daughter to be ashamed of me when she goes to school, so I want this to be sorted out before she is old enough to notice. So if you can suggest some help i would be eternally grateful. I just want my confidence back. Thank you

I would like to know the pros and cons of having vaneers inman aligner and invisible braces

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009
Q.
Dear Dr Moore, I am 33 years old and am thinking about having cosmetic dental treatment. When i was a teenager, I wore every conceivable brace possible. However, the braces didn’t really do me any good and I still have some overcrowding on my front teeth (top and bottom). I am confused about what type of treatment to go for and am fearful that braces may not work. I have been looking into cosmetic dentistry and would like to know the pros and cons of having vaneers and/or Inman aligner and invisible braces. If I go for the Inman aligner – are the results generally quite good? Also, can you recommend a well respected dentist in Bristol? I would be really greatful to know your honest opinion. Regards

my 11 year old has a very uneven and over crowded jaw will fixed appliance work better

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009
Q.
Hi My son is 11 years old and he has a very uneven and over crowded top jaw. Our orthodontist has suggested fixed appliances (NHS – about 12 months waiting list) but has also suggested a removable appliance prior to the fixed. This will cost £650.00. Is this necessary and will the fixed appliance work better/faster if we go with the removable one first. Thanks

Ive crooked teeth could you recommend a treatment that is more affordable than invisalign

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009
Q.
Hi there, I’ve always had crooked top teeth (top front two are slightly further forward the the ones next to them and the canines are quite high and prominent) and one of my lower front teeth is set back – I’m desperate to get something done. My dentist recommended invisalign but I just can’t get my hands on the cash!! Can you recommend a treatment that is more affordable (but not visible) or where I could pay in installments? My teeth are really affecting my life – my smile is awful and I’m really conscious of it. Many thanks.

My front teeth and the one at the other side are crooked should i have a braces again

Sunday, May 24th, 2009
Q.
Hi I had a brace when i was a teenager and this was taken off in 2001. Afterwards i temporarily had a retainer but then i had a piece of metal wire bonded behind my top teeth and bottom teeth, so that i no longer had to use the retainer. While i have looked after my teeth i’m ashamed to say that i haven’t been to a dentist since then nor am i registered with one. About 9 months ago the metal behind my top teeth snapped and i had it rebonded at the dental hospital where i went as a child, this happened again about 2 months later and i went back there again. However, yesterday i bit into a sandwich and the metal pushed upwards into my gums, into what felt like an arch shape. I went back to the same hospital and had it rebonded but when i got home it had snapped again. After the bank holiday i will make it my priority to register with a dentist but my concern is that ive noticed that one of my front teeth and the one at the other side of it have started to move into the crooked position they were in before i started treatment and this is causing me quite a lot of upset as they were a mess before i had braces. Once i get registered with a dentist will they recommend i have a brace again because i want my straight smile back?? Thanks for the help.

what is the best way of removing invisalign and putting them on again?

Sunday, May 24th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I’ve just had my first set of invisalign a day ago. What is best way of removing them and putting them on again? I find they hurt when I take them off (not too bad when I put them back on). Can you also, drink tea (with no sugar) with the aligners on? Thanks
