My fangs are quite noticeable which I hate so what is the right procedure?

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009
Q.
I am looking into having my teeth straightened in the next couple of years when I have saved enough money, but was wondering what I need to make sure when choosing a dentist – ie what licences/etc should I check for before I choose so that the dentist is a fully registered one? Also, I think I will be looking to get an Invisalign brace and some lumineers, but my teeth are quite overcrowded and I have got all 4 wisdom teeth almost through, which will only make them worse, so would it be recommended that I have them out to give my teeth room to space out? Finally, I have quite noticeable ‘fangs’ which I hate and am very self conscious about, so what procedure would be done to sort this? Thank you.

Im have braces now is it possible to switch to Invisalign now

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009
Q.
Hi I’m 14 years old and currently have a fixed appliance. However I’m very self concious of the braces I currently have. I’m looking to see if I can switch to Invisalign but I’ve had teeth extracted. These gaps have been reduced by my current braces. I’m really wondering if its still possible to switch to Invisalign even though I’ve had teeth extracted. Thanks

I lost a front tooth in my teens during a sporting accident. Over the years my front teeth closed up and they look absolutely awful. I’m 43 now and even though my teeth are in pretty good condition I’ve always wanted a nice smile. Have I left too late and would I have to spend years in braces.

Q.
I’ve been advised that to straighten my front tooth with invisalign, filing is necessary. About 1 or 2mm is proposed. What would be done to compensate for this permanent loss of tooth enamel? Thank you

What is price range for inman Aligner or 6 month smiles

Monday, August 17th, 2009
Q.
Hello I am 24 years of age and sick of teeth!!! Sounds bad I know… The main problem is my two front teeth that stick out causing a moderate to severe overbite. The lateral incisors also stick out but only slightly. Overall they dont look incredibly bad (as friends and family say) but I would prefer straight teeth as I am extremely self concious. I am looking into orthodontic treatment and in particular Inman Aligners or 6 -Month smiles but I’m unsure which will achieve better results or if they’ll both equally effective. Also, what are the price ranges for both options? Thanks!!!

Im 53 and would invisalign be suitable for some one at my age

Monday, August 17th, 2009
Q.
Hi Dr Moore, I’m 53 and i’m sure i’m quite a lot older than most of your patients! I’ve put up with my buck teeth all my life, is it too late to correct them? I have been reading about Invisalign and wondered if this is suitable for someone of my age? Many Thanks

If I went through any cosmetic dentistry would I be put to sleep?

Sunday, August 16th, 2009
Q.
Hiya, I’m 19 yrs old and i have the worst teeth. They’re wonky and i have (what feels like) a huge gap. my teeth are yellow and if i’m honest, i don’t brush them as much as I should do. I have a massive phobia of dentists, i haven’t been in about 6 years. the last time i had a filling i had to be put to sleep. I work in a physicatric hospital and the paitnets all pick out my teeth which is quiet hurtful. i was wondering, would veneers be the answer? and if i went through with any cosmetic dentistry, would i be able to be put to sleep? thanks
