I don’t think my Six Month Smile brace treatment is working. What would you suggest?

Monday, September 27th, 2010
Q.
Dear Rob. I had six month smile brace fitted 18 months ago for mild crowding on the front six. The brace has been institu for 18mths and has left gaps in the front that are refusing to close, also one slightly overlapping tooth wouldn’t move. Another problem is i feel it’s pushing my front teeth out as it’s now longer then the others. I keep saying this to my cosmetic Dentist and she says it shouldn’t be much longer, however I honestly think it could possibly take another 18mths. What would you suggest, can the top front tooth be pushed up with another brace?,

A tooth that was bonded on recently came out grey. What happened and how is it fixed?

Friday, September 10th, 2010
Q.
Hoping you’re having a good day! My dentist bonded my upper front tooth to make it wider to close a gap. The tooth is between two other teeth that are attached to a partial. When he was finished bonding it…it was gray instead of white. He said he doesn’t know what went wrong, and told me that he matched it to the whitest color on the chart/strip they use. He took an xray, and I don’t have any root damage. What do you think went wrong? How does my dentist fix this? It is very noticeable as my other natural teeth are very white. Please help me. I hope I hear from you soon. I am seeing my dentist tomorrow! Thanks so very very much! ,

I want to close a gap in my teeth and would like to know about veneers?

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010
Q.
Hi there, i have a gap, a fairly big one. I’ve wanted to close it for some time and has plumeted my self-esteem to the point where i watch what i say becuase it makes me feel insecure. I really don’t like it and is tearing me apart. I don’t want braces because they’re painful and take alot of time. I wanted to know What’s the veneers process about and if there’s any other way i could go about this. if the treatment does cost money i want to know how much. Thank you for your time.,

What can I do to replace a missing tooth and correct the remaining teeth?

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010
Q.
Hi Dr, I have had a lot of problems with my teeth over the last few years, unfortunately through fault of my own by neglecting them. My front tooth decayed and fell out a year ago, and I’ve been too embarrased and financially unable to get it taken care of or corrected. I’ve been using various ways of filling the gap, one of which I’m ashamed to say is by using tissue, needless to say it’s ruined the shape of my remaining teeth, is very uncomfortable and it just looks awful. I want to get this problem fixed and my tooth corrected. I would like to know the procedure you would recommend and an estimation of costs involved. Please help. Thank you.,

I am having trouble with one of my new implants. Can I have it replaced?

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010
Q.
I have had 2 implants done, one on each side of my mouth. One looks fantastic and fits perfectly but the other looks false and does not fit into my gum like the otherside (i was told the reason is the gap was too small). Is it possible to have it removed and a new tooth fitted to the already existing implant?,

What kind of treatments can I have to address my receding gums and gaps?

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010
Q.
I am 39 and 6 years ago I was told I had gum disease & 1mm of horizontal bone loss. since then I have followed a strict oral hygiene regime and thankfully my problem is very much under control. The problem is I have been left with receding gums and I am absolutely at my wits end! I have no confidence & certainly don’t feel like smiling. I thought of veneers to maybe close up the gaps? but having read your web page, has there been recent success with the graft? Please help,
