I want to close a gap in my teeth and would like to know about veneers?

Q. Hi there, i have a gap, a fairly big one. I’ve wanted to close it for some time and has plumeted my self-esteem to the point where i watch what i say becuase it makes me feel insecure. I really don’t like it and is tearing me apart. I don’t want braces because they’re painful and take alot of time. I wanted to know What’s the veneers process about and if there’s any other way i could go about this. if the treatment does cost money i want to know how much. Thank you for your time.,
A. Hi. Veneers may well be an appropiate option for you but if it is to improve the appearance of the teeth then this will be a private option. The process is to roughen the front surface of the teeth and adhere a tooth coloured covering, usually in ceramic or porcelain to creat a natural looking tooth. This can in some cases be used to close gaps but there are also other options such as invisable braces. The best option would be to book an appointment with a dentist to discuss these options.
