How do I know if this particular dental surgeon is fully qualified in this field?

I have just had to have the root of my crown removed as it had broken in half.I have already lost the two teeth next to it. However as the crown was near the front of my mouth, my Dentist has fitted a temporary denture whilst it heals. She planned to fit a metal one in a couple of months as I get Thrush and obviously the plastic is not ideal. I am not getting on at all well with the denture, and rather than waste money on another one, I am considering an implant to replace the crown and am not concerned about the gaps further back. I have been quoted £2,000 at my nearest centre, but how do I know if this particular dental surgeon is fully qualified in this field. Are there any questions I should ask, or is there a list of recommended surgeons?

Please help Had several dental procedures form Jan including deep scaling of upper and lower with 3 white fillings Take no Rxs and in good help but in menopause at 50 last dental in Jan last period in Jan CONCERN>>> have Metallic taste everyday what can I do my dentist has no idea nor doctor YOUR thoughts would be apprieciated

I have lost two upper teeth and have been told by my dentist to wait for 6 months for a replacement

I lost one of my upper teeth in sept 2008 and have now lost another. my dentist told me i have to wait 6 months before i can have any repair work done on them so i have been left with two spaces which are unsightly. can you please tell me if this is true or can i have anything done sooner. thank you

Hi there, wonder if you can help me…. Im 23 years old and ever since I went to a bad dentist in my late teens i have developed a huge fear of the dentist, so bad that im reduced to tears. Problem is I know i need work done to my teeth and fear the worst…..my bottom wisdom teeth have developed tiny holes and one upper wisdom tooth has pushed the other one at the side of it out although some of the tooth is still there. Also another tooth at the back is opened on one side…this tooth has a filing in it. I know possibly I may have to have my wisdom teeth removed but im so scared and heard so many horror stories that im petrified!! Im in no pain but my thinking is I dont want to leave it any longer incase I make things worse, my teeth have been like this now for a couple of years, i just want my back teeth to be like my front ones and they are ok and look fine an straight. Can you recommend any good dentists in Sheffield? what can I do about my phobia and do you think I may have to have my wisdom teeth out? Thanks

My dentist called me and wants to finish the filling and medium cleaning in my gums and she wants to do it all together

Hi… I had 2 upper teeth extracted 4 weeks ago. My dentist called me and wants to finish the filling and medium cleaning in my gums and she wants to do it all together, My concern is she gives me clindamycin prior to oral procedures bec of my heart murmur. Is it safe to get this procedures done even if I just had teeth extracted and I can see holes in my gums from were they got the teeth, they dont hurt and they are not swollen , Is this too soon? Does gum needs to heal first prior to doing other procedures

i had dentures fitted 2 years ago and i really hate them

I have wanted a beautiful smile all of my life, I got upper dentures 2 years ago this month hoping I could finally smile without covering my mouth. Well I hate them. My face doesnt even look the same and you cant see them hardly at all! I am just as miserable as I have always been. Im sure I cant afford implants,I have checked the cost and my insurance does not mention them, but I have no problem paying the best price for the best fitting, most natural dentures. My problem is I do not know who to go to and I know, not everyone does a good job, I am living proof! How do I know what dentist will may my dreams come true? Any suggestions at all would be very much appreciated! Thank You

i have had veneers and iam not happy with the result

I had veneers at my local dentists and have never been happy with the result, my teeth are very short and my top lip hangs low, so you can never see my teeth even when i smile i asked for them to be longer and my dentist said that couldnt be done, but im sure it can can you get back to me on what you would advise thankyou
