Saturday, September 26th, 2009
Q.
My front tooth is discoloured and is darker than the other front tooth. Its gradually got worse over the years although has not changed in the last year or so. Im aware that it is noticable and would like to get this rectified and was wondering whether I would have to get both teeth crowned or vennered to get a good colour match.

Is it possible to resize my front teeth without making my face look odd?

Friday, September 25th, 2009
Q.
Hi I have very large front teeth, since childhood and now in adulthood I get bullied and get called bugs bunny or a horse. I hate my teeth and want to alter their size and appearance, is this possible without making my face look odd? I have had orthodontic treatment and therefore i am not goofy, it is just the size and shape of my teeth that make me look like a horse. To make matters worse one of my front teeth had died and I have been told that a root canal is not possible on it and it is very yellow and getting darker. When i go to sleep, my top lip only covers half of my teeth and i wake up with a noticible white line across the two teeth and i can only prevent this if I wear my retaining brace however I do not want to wear this forever. I would appreciate any advice yours sincerely

Why are my new porcelain veneers discomfortable?

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009
Q.
Hi doctor. I am having alot of discomfort with my new 10 upper porcelain veneers. From around day 4 of my temporaries being fitted the problems began. When i went back to the dentist, he told me that some food had maybe got into the bond as there were small holes. I thought my problems would be over when i had my porcelain veneers fitted. No such luck! A week later i was back and sent to a root specialist, he slightly adjusted my bite and a week later i am still hurting, on and off, and if i have not got pain i have got face ache that goes into my ears and temples, like muscle spasms which gives me vertigo. I can eat, Just! But am sensitive to hot beverages. My own dentist took a normal x-ray but could not see any root damage. I paid alot of money at a top London dentist and am so annoyed and confused at what has gone wrong. Any advice will be gratefully received. Thank you.

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009
Q.
I have crooked and mishapen teeth, especially my top six front teeth. I’m trying to decide between lumineers, invisalign, and inman aligners. I’m 18 years old and live in the USA. I’m also a student in college. Cost and time have a big difference in my decision. What information can you give me to help me make my final choice?

Advice on redoing composite resin veneer

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009
Q.
Recently, I went into the dentist to get my two front teeth rebonded- composite resin veneer. The first time when I got home I noticed that my front teeth were two shades darker than my real teeth, so I called back and asked them to redo them. The second time, my teeth came out too white(but I don’t mind that much). However, he also made my teeth extremely thick and they seem bulky in the middle. I also noticed when I got home that one of the sides of my two front teeth is yellow. Today, I called another dentist to see if he could slim them down a bit. He refused to try and fix them and literally laughed at my whole story, which I don’t think is funny. He did agree with the middle of my teeth being rather bulky. So after calling two more other dentists who refused to fix his work, I called his office back and I have an appointment for Friday to try and shave down my teeth a little. I’m torn between putting up with the dentist again, and not being happy with my two front teeth that I paid $600 for. Do other people go back three times to get there teeth fixed, and if this were your case how would you react?
