Advice on redoing composite resin veneer
Q. Recently, I went into the dentist to get my two front teeth rebonded- composite resin veneer. The first time when I got home I noticed that my front teeth were two shades darker than my real teeth, so I called back and asked them to redo them. The second time, my teeth came out too white(but I don’t mind that much). However, he also made my teeth extremely thick and they seem bulky in the middle. I also noticed when I got home that one of the sides of my two front teeth is yellow. Today, I called another dentist to see if he could slim them down a bit. He refused to try and fix them and literally laughed at my whole story, which I don’t think is funny. He did agree with the middle of my teeth being rather bulky.So after calling two more other dentists who refused to fix his work, I called his office back and I have an appointment for Friday to try and shave down my teeth a little. I’m torn between putting up with the dentist again,and not being happy with my two front teeth that I paid $600 for. Do other people go back three times to get there teeth fixed, and if this were your case how would you react?

If I were you I would go back to the original dentist who placed them outline everything that you are unhappy with and ask him if he thinks that he could adjust the resin veneers to your specifications.
If he cannot then perhaps he can recommend a dentist that can.

Hi I have veneers on my upper front teeth. I have a little staining around the edges of some of them (my dentist is unable to remove any more due to the risk of damaging the veneers). Would whitening, either laser or trays remove this? I’ve decided against removing and replacing my veneers – the risks outweigh the problem, but still I’d like to improve the appearance……I know that eventually they will need replacing, so if whitening wont work I’ll be happy to wait till they fail and my arm is forced
Hello, thank you for your question Unfortunately whitening does not work when you have veneers or crowns, it only works on your natural teeth.
Recently, i had 4 veeners on top, but i have a few questions: 1.) one veener is causing pain/feels weaker than the other three when i touch it and i went to discuss w/ my dentist & she said it was fine. She said the Veener was made a bit bigger and longer. She however, took x-rays. and said everything was normal 2.) How do you know if they are becoming loose? Is the feeling diff. from the first time they are bonded, do they just become softer/loose over time? 3.) I have a lot of saliva and i tend to pull back saliva with my front 4 veener teeth is that bad? When should my issues become a concern to bring to my dentist attention.
