Can I have a small part of my tooth end filed?

Hi Dr, There are a few things I’d like to get sorted with my teeth. But the one thing I’m not sure if there is a simple cosmetic solution to is the thinning of the enamel on my front two teeth. Is it possible to have this small part of my teeth at the end filed down or something? Or does this expose nerves? Yours Faithfully

How to get rid of a gummy smile and options for chin and jaw correction

Hi, Just a few questions if you could help? I’m 23 and recently coming to the end of my treatment from the damon braces. My teeth are still not perfectly straight, i still have a cross bit and over bite, but its much better than it was. I am looking at a few things to complete everything. One being how to get rid of my gummy smile. I’n not sure which option to take? My cosmetic dentist has said botox to stop my lip rising? but ive seen gum contouring or lip flap surgery, not sure of the name, but where they reposistion the lip? Second thing is my chin/jaw. I’m not sure if I should have a chin implant, neck lift of correction jaw surgery. Which do you think would be the best options and best prices? I’ve even considered going abroad as the fee’s are so much here in the uk! I hope you can help, Thanks,

My bottom front teeth are overlaping and chipped

Please could you advise me. my bottom front teeth are overlaping and chipped, as far a i remember they have been like this, ive no confidence at all i dont even like speaking to people because of it. This has really overtaken my life unfortunately due to circumstances i cant afford veneers. all ive ever wanted is a perfect smile. Im on income support but im studying accounts at college. I dont know wot to do anymore i dont like to talk to people. Is there anywhere that would let a single parent on benefits get this sorted and pay so much a month please help me

I want is a wider smile so you can see the molars

Hi Dr Moore, I wonder if you could help me on a matter. I have pritty good teath and many say i have a nice smile but I am not happy with it. When i smile you can only see up to my kaynines and the teeth ( molars) are tucked behind. In a nutshell, what i want is a wider smile so you can see the molars so the my teech are in a gradual curve and not like a u bend. ( I hope this makes sense?) Is it possible to bring them out? or could they be capped with veniers so that they can be seen more when i smile? If it is possible, could you recommend a dentist, i don’t mind travelling? Also how long would it take to get the desired result. Could teeth be moved in a sixmonth period as i read on the website? Thanks

Cosmetic dentistry is not covered by insurance

My 14 year old has jagged spaced out small teeth it is heart breaking she never smiles anymore. My dentist did bonding and it cost alot but it broke off she was devistated. He said brases wont work but insurance doesnt cover cosmetic denistry is there any way to call it something else to have ins. cover it i’m a single mom and can’t aford to do cosmetic and credit is not perfect during this bad economy please help me and my daughter.

Andrew, I have front teeth that are wearing down. I am wondering if veneers might be the answer in the longer term, but how do I understand the minefield of information that is out there. I guess finding a high quality cosmetic dentist is a must – can you give any advice on how to go about this (I figure picking the first one in the yellow pages is probably not the best strategy).
