Do you think that Lumineers would work for me?

Monday, June 18th, 2012
Q.

Hi there, I’m very interested in some dental work. I am self conscious about my smile as my front two teeth are not straight. I have been looking into this for a while but never looked into the cost. How much on average would it be for my front four teeth to be worked on. I have recently been looking at Lumineers I would like to know your recommendation on these and the price of both vaneers and Lumineers. I would like a natural set to have. Smile I can be proud of

Should I have dental veneers to correct my gummy smile?

Wednesday, April 11th, 2012
Q.

I’m 15 turning in December and I have a horrorifically gummy smile. My gums are much larger than my teeth they are tiny. I feel really embarrassed and self concious of my teeth all the time. I currently have braces on to straighten my teeth but these will not correct my gum issue. I have looked online and have spoken to my mum about porcelain veneers we both think that this is the best option, is there anything I can do now? Composite veneers? Or could I have porcelain veneers fitted now? thank you for your time doctor

Is bleaching and veneers the best option for my discoloured tooth?

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011
Q.

I banged and cracked my front tooth when I was about 9. I have had a root filling in it since then. Over the years and especially more recently it has become quite dark and discoloured. I have been told that this is internal. My dentist suggested I had a composite veneer and gave me an idea of what it would look like. I was quite happy with the idea. This dentist then left and my new dentist said that a veneer might not be enough and that I should have internal bleaching and then a veneer. I have read that sometimes bleaching doesn’t work and also composite veneers only last a year or two. I do not have a lot of money but do want to improve the look of this tooth, but I would like advice as to what would be the best value for money long term.

What procedures are available to repair or cover filled teeth or replace them?

Friday, December 3rd, 2010
Q.

Hi there,

I am 26 years of age and I have thought about getting porcelain veneers for my 8 smile teeth. I also have quite weak teeth and most are heavily filled. I am getting fed up having to have my teeth re-filled on a seemingly continual basis. I wanted some advice on what procedures are available to repair or cover filled teeth or replace them. I understand that I will loose the sensation in my teeth if I under go cosmetic work on them but that really doesn’t concern me. Thanks very much for any advice that you can give me. An Idea of costs involved for the various procedures available would also greatly help.

My son’s tooth has grayed, how can this be corrected?

Monday, November 22nd, 2010
Q.

My 17 year old son got his braces off in May and one tooth has turned gray. He wore the braces for 2 years and orthodontist said the tooth may have been traumatized by the braces. We’ve had the tooth tested and it’s not dead, but it’s top 2nd from center and my son has finally admitted that he’s self conscious about it and would like to have it fixed. Our regular dentist has indicated that there is no good way to make the tooth look right. What do you suggest?

Hi, today I got composite veneers fitted, but not in the way that was detailed here, they used composite to build up the tooth. Anyway, how much soft drink would you have to drink to stain the veneer?,
