My daughter had a broken front tooth fixed but is unhappy – what can be done?

Monday, January 24th, 2011
Q.

My daughter had an accident causing the bottom half of one front tooth to break off.
Our dentist has rebuilt this but she is unhappy with the shape and colour of the tooth, and also feels very conscious that this is no longer her tooth.
Is it possible to improve the general appearance, and strengthen the tooth, without resorting to crowns or veneers?

My 19 year old son has knocked half of his two front teeth out on the ice rink. Would you recommend cosmetic bonding or crowns? Which would last the longest & what would they cost?

I have another on the lower right that is half broken but rotten inside. This one is giving me alot of pain at the moment, but seems to be more than just nerve, its causing pain behind the eye, ear, and in roof of mouth. None of my local dentitsts are taking new patients, I cant afford to go private and there is no nhs walk in centre local to us. I am in grantham in lincolnshire, can you offer any help or advice please

how much will it cost to replace three front top teeth and remove five broken teeth?

Thursday, January 6th, 2011
Q.

hi i am a 45yr old male living in the u.k. and would like to know the total cost of replacing 3 missing top teeth at the front and removal of 5 broken teeth basically my mouth is a mess. i don’t really want a full set of dentures but i know that’s the much cheaper option and i’am not that flush for cash.as i’am the sole income provider with my partner being a full time carer for our disabled son! my confidence is very low as a result and know my teeth need sorting just afraid of cost and getting in the dentist chair’ thank’s for reading!

How can I get over my dental phobia in order to get my broken teeth repaired?

Friday, December 10th, 2010
Q.

Hi, Im a 42 year old male and was never taken to the dentist as a child so no trust was ever built up with a dentist, i have only been to the dentist since then when i have had tooth ache and something needs to be removed. The problem now is that i only have six front upper teeth and a few broken off at the gum line at the back. I can no longer smile and very scarred to smile if i go out, this has now affected relationships and eating in public is such an embarrassment i just don’t know what to do. I work but have no savings to pay for such treatment and cant move on in life.
im terrified of dentists and so wish i had gone when i was a child. Help
