Can you recommend a dentist in Manchester that can fix my broken teeth along with sedation?

Monday, August 16th, 2010
Q.
I had my 2 upper front teeth broken off in a fight a few years ago. I have several back teeth missing. and other teeth in a bad state of repair due to my emense fear of dentist. My smile is so bad now, discoloured jagged teeth ect I have decided that I can no longer go on. I have been lookin up different way of sorting my teeth out. I don’t really want false teeth if I can gelp it I have been looking at having reconstructive treatment or veneers on the upper teeth and having my bottom teeth whitened and filled where nessasary. Is there any other options that I could concider as to try and sort my teeth out. Can you also recommend a cosmentic dentest in the manchester area that can offer the type of service i need along with being able to sedate me.,

Is there any way you can receive dental veneers through the NHS?

Friday, July 16th, 2010
Q.
I am writing to you to ask a question that has arisen in a conversation between me and my girlfriend. She currently has 2 caps on her two front most teeth due to an accident when she was 13 causing her two original teeth to be broken away. As the current situation stands, due to counseling for various personal difficulties she is working through, it has been discovered, or more-so, she has learned to accept and analyze that this early accident is a majour catalyst to her developing an eating disorder she has been suffering from for the past 11 years through the fear of her teeth ‘falling out’, and also the social ramifications of her awareness of her teeth causing her to have constant social anxiety and difficulty in interacting with society, which has ultimately impacted her ability to work, ergo be financially and professionally successful/independant. Indeed she is on incapacity benefit due to being unable to work. Due to this, and as advised by her councilor we are seeking advice as to wether her specific medical circumstance satisfies her requirements for being eligible to receive a full set of (or as close to as possible, as defined by the potential assessment) veneers via the NHS as it has been established that a procedure such as this will “significantly accelerate her development towards becoming a stronger and socially coherent individual, safeguarding her future as an independent member of society.” This is not a personal request. Merely a humble question aimed towards you as we found the opportunity to e-mail you via this site while searching for relevant information regarding our query.

I cannot afford to pay for my grandaughter’s dental treatment, what can we do?

Monday, July 5th, 2010
Q.
Hi, I am 83. I cannot help my grandaughter financially. is there help under the NHS for her please. Her teeth have worn down to gum level. Fear, has stopped her all these years from trying to get help to stop the problem. The roots are strong but the surface broke away years ago on her teeth. she has no confidence,She walks around with her hand across her mouth. She cannot eat properly, cannot get a job. She has lost her children through domestic problems and is homeless. She needs to make a fresh start, but her teeth must come first to give her self pride, and confidence, also she need to give nice white smiles once again. She would get work then. Is there help out there please. I am worried sick. Thanks you for giving us your time (I heard that dental training hospitals do implants for free with trainee dentists, Is this true please). she is 36 years old and looks much older,,
