My daughter had a broken front tooth fixed but is unhappy – what can be done?

Q.
My daughter had an accident causing the bottom half of one front tooth to break off.
Our dentist has rebuilt this but she is unhappy with the shape and colour of the tooth, and also feels very conscious that this is no longer her tooth.
Is it possible to improve the general appearance, and strengthen the tooth, without resorting to crowns or veneers?
A.
It depends how old she is and the general condition of this and the other teeth so I can’t really tell without seeing her first.
