Could I Be Having a Toxic Reaction to my Filling?

Tuesday, May 5th, 2015
Q.

I’ve had a dental composite filling done and have had constant headaches ever since that make me vomit and I feel slow with bad concentration and brain fog. I never had headaches or these reactions before the filling – could it be a toxic reaction to the filling? The filling has a strong plastic taste to it which I can detect but have generally been feeling very unwell since it was placed. Have you seen this kind of reaction before in patients? I have an existing immunological disease.
Thanks.

Why Do My Teeth Ache all the Time?

Friday, March 6th, 2015
Q.

Hi. I have been having some problems with my teeth now for some time, probably nearly a year. They ache and hurt all the time it seems. Due to this my teeth have started to move; my two front teeth now overlap causing a gap between the others next to it. I was told by the dentist this was normal and due to my jaw changing shape and my teeth rearranging to suit, but I was told it may last years and come and go. I am getting really worried now that the pain is not going to go and my teeth are going to be even less straight then they already are, and overlap further. I am also worried it’s not even this and it’s something else and my teeth might become loose and fall out.

My tooth still hurts after an accident, is my best option root canal treatment?

Monday, June 6th, 2011
Q.

Hello Mark, how long can it take for a damaged tooth ligament to settle. My front tooth does not seem to be recovering since the impact , which is almost four weeks ago. I still can’t bite down on it. Do you think Root Canal Treatment is my better option? X Rays show no sign of damage to the roots.
Could the pulp still be damaged? The tooth mostly hurts when I bite on it but does throb on and off through the day. thank you for your time

I have been advised that metal crowns last longer than porcelain crowns, is this correct?

Saturday, December 4th, 2010
Q.

My boyfriend has to have root canal treatment and his dentist has offered him a metal coloured crown. I think a natural tooth colour would look better because he already has a large metal crown on the other side but his dentist advises him that the metal lasts longer. Is that correct?

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010
Q.

hi i had all my top teeth done with zirconum crowns i was told these were the best i also have 6 bottom with crowns ,my teeth were in a poor state crooked fractures and loose ,so the dentist recommend this work,i am very happy with the teeth very natural but i still have sensitivity on several also i feel light my mouth doesn’t relax properly as it feels like im putting pressure on 1 at the top when i bite or close my mouth and 1 tooth at the top is so painful ,im ok eating but soon after i feel discomfort all over the teeth this lasts for 15 min after eating .lt as got better all by 1 tooth at the top and this i painful round the gum line but the gum looks healthy could this be a bottom tooth is too high and if as to be lowered and is it normal to have so much sensitivity with this work.

Is it possible to have a procedure corrected free of charge if it was not the agreed treatment?

Friday, November 19th, 2010
Q.
I’ve recently (3 days ago) had porcelain veneers on my front two teeth as the bottoms were chipped and the fillings kept breaking off. The dentist fitted porc. veneers as a solution, but filled the gap I didn’t want filled and the teeth are shorter than originally, and now I have a speech impediment as I can’t pronounce the letter F without sounding like Daffy Duck. What are my rights in being able to have these changed at no fee?,
