I have autoimmune disease and my top teeth are falling out! Please Help!

Monday, March 29th, 2010
Q.
I am running out of top teeth! I only have 11 consecutive left (insisors and premolars). Now I have an abscess on the first (and my last) molar on the top, after seeing an Endodontist root canal procedure doesn’t seem an option. I have autoimmune disease and wondered if it is possible for a MDI to be carried out to replace two of the missing molars on either side (ie first molar on right and left side of mouth). I have a strong gag reflex so not sure if I can tolerate partial dentures. Many thanks.,

No sign of an abscess but there is bad pain please help!

Friday, March 26th, 2010
Q.
My 13 y/o son had a broken front tooth repaired in May w/ a veneer placed. For the past 2 days, he has severe pain above the tooth but no notable signs of abscess. This morning he woke up and his front lip is mildly swollen. The pain increases at night with Advil only mildly helping. What do you think is going on and what are his options. He sees the Dentist tomorrow morning. Thanks!!!,

I am in constant pain because of my ruccuring abcesses, please help!

Thursday, March 25th, 2010
Q.
I have to have my lower molar out as it has collapsed and I keep getting recurrent abcesses, however I have a bridge connected from the molar to the middle lower front tooth! If I have the molar removed, I will lose my bridge and will end up with half a mouthful of teeth! I am currently in constant pain and am living on antibiotics and painkillers as I cannot live with half a mouthful of teeth! My dentist will not give me a full denture, but says I cannot have half a lower denture! Please advise as I am in constant pain!,

Is work on gum boil that seems to have gone still necessary?

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010
Q.
Over 12mnths ago my tooth with an existing root canal developed an infected boil on the gum. On my dentist’s advice I am waiting to have the previous root canal re done privately by a specialist dentist. However at present and for the last 6+ months i have no boil or any other symptoms. The x ray show some possible infection and the specialist thinks he can improve the root canal work. I am not sure whether to pay for this work to be done when i have no pain or problems with my tooth. What would you advise, please?,

Is bump on gum connected to issue with root canal?

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010
Q.
I am in need of a root canal but I have not gotten it because of insurance. I will get it soon. I have noticed that I have a sizeable bump on the gum of that tooth that needs a root canal. I was wondering if it was connected to the need of a root canal. It has not gone down or anything.,
