I was told that I need a metal wire to avoid relapse but I’d need it for 10-15 years! Please advise me.

Hello, I am looking into the 6 month smile braces, however, I was informed that after treatment it is very highly that I will have a metal wire put in behind my teeth to avoid relapse. I was told I would have to keep this wire for anything from 10-15 years!! I have never heard of anyone having this to avoid relapse, even after having braces as an adult. Perhaps I should therefore be looking at more traditional braces? Please advise, as this has really put me off having any form of cosmetic treatment. Many thanks,

I have very crowded front teeth and want a”smile makeover” I think it would really boost my confidence. Would 6 month braces work for me? As they are very crowded. Also roughly how much does this treatment cost on average and are there monthly payment methods at all? Kind regards,

Please help! I’ve been told I need braces for 2 and a half years! Is this right?

Hello, I am 17 years old and have 1 wonky tooth in the main “smile six”! It is a fang which has moved since having braces, and it is pushing the one infront behind it. I dont like it but my dentist has told me it will take 2 and a half years to fix, which I think is a bit over exagerrated, seeing as I had to have braces on that long beforehand when my teeth were SEVERELY bad. Im not sure what to do :/ Please please please please please help!,

I can’t have the 6-month smile treatment because of the gum muscle between my two front teeth, what other treatment can I have?

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010
Q.
I have a relatively big gap between my two front teeth. I went to see about getting the 6 month smile treatment but was told that it wasn’t suitable as my teeth would not stay together because of the gum muscle in between my two front teeth. I was just wondering is there any other way apart from long term braces? Or even after the 6 month smile could i not wear a retainer to keep the gap closed etc ?,
