Should I have to go to specialist for dentures Plz suggest

Q. Dear Sir,I have had a pallet fitted on the top,and one at the bottom, but i can not wear them.It has cost me nearly £2000.The dentist has said to me that he his going to refer me to a specialist, and that i could get them free on the NHS.He said that i am a gagga or something like that. I have got just three teeth in the top and just three in the bottom at the back. It is making me ill becaus i am jovial chap, and i can not smile any more.So please will you answer this straight away,i know that you are busy.I am 62yrs old.Thank you for the reply.

A.

I agree with your dentist that you should get a second opinion with someone who spealises in dentures. They can either adjust your existing pair to make them more comfortable or make you a more suitable pair. Alterntaively you could consider implants, but these are much more costly and start form £2500 per tooth.
