im really worried that my nhs dentist wants to remove all my back teeth

Q. Im really worried that my nhs dentist wants to remove all my back teeth they are in quite a state I thought he would suggest crowns but said this was not possible and I could have false ones after im only 39 and dont feel old enough to have false teeth. please make a suggestion.

A. I suggest that if you do not feel that this is the correct treatment plan for you, that you go for a second opinion.

Crowns are not an option for teeth that need to be extrated as you need to have existing tooth structure to build them onto.

The options for mising teeth are either implants or a denture. A denture is the only option with the NHS and implants are availble privately for around £2500 per tooth.
