I was wondering how much crowding can inman aligner fix?

Q. Hi, I am a 21 yr old and I am just questioning my suitability for the inman aligner. I have had a consultation with an orthodontist and I was told I would have to wear fixed braces for a year and a half . I didn’t go ahead with the procedure as it was too costly. As I am only particularly concerned with my top front six teeth the Inman Aligner is of much interest to me. There is minor to severe crowding on my top teeth. My left central incisor slightly overlaps the right and my left lateral incisor is in a forward direction due to years of thumbsucking. I also have a canine tooth which sticks out. My top arch is also very narrow because of the sucking. Im wondering how much crowding can the inman aligner fix? Also is it possible for me to send a photo of my teeth to you for a better understanding? I have a n appointment to see a dentist about the inman aligner but I’d hate to wast money on the consultation fee for then to be told I’m not suitable. I’d greatly appreciate a quick response, thank you

A. The inmanaligner is a good option- there is also a product on the market called the 6 month smile that can starighten teeth in a few months. This is a fixed orthodontic appliance that moves teeth quiclyand safely.
There are some cosmetic dentists who offer free consultations at their clinics. I would be more than happy to see you at my kissdental practice for a free consultaion if you would like to see if you are suitable for inman-aligner or 6 month smiles etc. There is no obligation to take up treatment afterwards- we  just want you to be aware of the options available etc.

Thank you for your response. I have also done research on the 6 month braces as I am pretty sure now I am not suitable for the Inman Aligner as my problems include the way my teeth meet, too much crowding and my left canine is too rotated. Also my two centrals are actually not in the middle and my teeth are pushing to the right. Would the sixmonth braces fix these problems or do they have limitations too? I have been recommended to get braces on both arches but this is unaffordable and I am only concerned with my top front six teeth. What would be the compromisations of just getting braces on my top arch? As I have said I am only concerned with the teeth that show when I smile which are my top front six teeth I am wondering would the six month braces have the same effect appearance wise to my smile as fixed metal braces from an orthodontist that I would wear for a year and a half?

Usually this is a result of improper oral hygiene during the treatment of orthodontia.

I have a one off problem regarding my braces. I am 30 years old. I amduring the braces treatment with the orthodontist in Poland. But I can’t goto see my orthodontist for the next 2 months due to my work commitments But one of the brackets ( attached to the uncut canine tooth, which is haltedinside my gums and is now during the process of bringing it down) has detached. I need that bracket attached to that canine tooth and a small wire lead to the main wire so the tooth keeps coming out of my gums. Would any dentist be able to do that? And what would be thecost of the visit like that?

I am interested in the inman aligner. And would like to know some additional information. How long from a consultation does it take to receive the aligner? What happens after the aligner has been in place? And I know you cannot give estimates without a full consultation but can you please provide aball park figure of the cost?

is it possible to use the inmnan aligner to straighten out crooked teeth on the top and bottom jaw? Mine just look crazy and I know it is because of the gum disease I had about 7 years ago, but i feel that it is now about time to do something about it and as i know take excellent care of my teeth and gums, i don’t think that aspect of my health will be a problem anymore. If i was to have treatment for this specific problem is there an approximate treatment time that you can think of? thank you for all your help

The Inman Aligner is only for minor to moderate correction of the front top and bottom teeth, it sounds like you will need full orthodontic treatment using braces and wires.

Hi the lower of my Inman aligner has created ridges which have become deep cuts . What can I put on my gums to help the pain ? Thanks Also I’ve heard it’s unusual to wear upper and lower Inman aligners at the same time what do you think . I’m really struggling to adapt to the bulk of the appliance in my mouth I wish I had Been offered the invisalign option because it looks a lot more comfortable

Inman’s are difficult to wear at first but most patients adapt. If it is digging in though you should ask your dentist to take a look it might need adjusting

i have recently been looking at the possibility of getting Inman Aligners to straighten my front teeth. however i am concerned about my overbite. will these aligners correct or fix my overbite aswel as straighting my teeth? also the cost of the aligners can be quite excessive i understand the cost can be spread over a period of time! can you give me some examples of just how the cost can be spread for example in your own practice how the cost is divided to suit the patients needs and financial implications? Best regards

The Inman Aligner can help overjet but not overbite, we cannot comment on cost.
