Q. I have very serve lupus and have had major problems with my teeth and gums… When I was younger I had a brace fitted to my top and bottom teeth twice but this only flared my gums making them red and prone to bleeding.. It was not known that I had lupus at this time so they were removed by my dentist.. I have horrible un slightly teeth that are uneven and cause me a lot of heartache and self confidence issues. I now have a gap where I have lost a tooth. I was told that due to my medical condition that I may be eligible for cosmetic dentistry on the nhs, if this is so would you know how I would go about looking into this and it’s becoming more of an issue for me.
