I can’t get dental implants on my dental insurance, what should I do?

Q.
Im 58 yrs old, Im currently being denied by cigna from getting a total of 9 implants over the pst 6 yrs Ive had fillings, and crowns only to have issues with them. My teeth are sensitive to hot and cold ,and i cant eat any thing like a hard potatoe chip due to hurting my gums here no teeth exist. Ive spent over 5 K and crown and bridges keep coming out .so i opted to get implants. Only to be denied saying they will approve dentals.I have great coverage with cigna. ,all at the same time my co-workers have getten the same procedure done and to a greater degree. Some person in a insurance company based upon some xray makes an opinion to determine approve or deny. They have no ideal what i go through not being able to eat select foods sentivity. what do you recommend and where can i go to persue the matter .Even my dentist appealed to the insurance company stating that he highly recommend the implants.is there an agency to help my fight the insurance??

Hello, thank you for your question.

This is very hard for me to answer as I do not know the type of cover you have with your insurance company. The only recourse I can think of is to visit an insurance ombudsman, this may help
