Please, I need help. I was diagnosed with having advanced periodontal disease when I was in my late 20s and now the bone that supports my teeth is almost nothing. I have already lost a few teeth and all my teeth are loose. I’m 52 years old but feel my life is over. My confidence has diminished, I’m depressed, I’m desperate for help or any advice you could give. I would be most grateful for help.
Hi there. I am looking for a temporary snap-on-smile for my upper teeth, in particular whereby I only have 2 full teeth left in the front. The rest are stubs (5), including both incisors. I will eventually be going down the dental implant route therefore I don’t want to spend £100s or even £1000s on a cosmetic dental plan. I have six upper front crowns due to tetracycline staining. They are four years old. One of them has completely broken including the tooth. The others will probably follow suit so I wanted to have all six teeth removed and have a bridge fitted so I no longer have to worry about the next expensive disaster. Embarrassment too. Please tell me this is reasonable. I am 51 and allergic to several dental bonding agents too.
I need an expert’s opinion on implants. If I can have implants it wont be straight forward as I have a second tooth in the
roof of my mouth which never descended when my milk tooth eventually fell out when I was 35 years old .I was told that I was too old to have the tooth removed from top of my mouth. Now at the age of 63 I need implants and wonder if it would get the way. I feel only an expert would be able to deal with this.
Hi, I saw the work that you did on the lady on This Morning. I have had numerous problems with my top teeth for years – numerous crowns and bridges and now a tooth on a plate. I am 55 years old but have kept myself in fairly good condition on the whole.I am very embarrassed about my teeth. I have never let my partner see me without my teeth in. I have had many problems with my gums also. I have even glued my teeth back in, desperate measures I know, but I was abroad at the time and that seemed the only solution. I have recently given up smoking to help with my health and gums too. I have had a quote for implants which was well out of my means. Please could you help? Many thanks.
Hello. Can I have veneers over my 3 implants? I’m not happy with my smile, I have a very small mouth and a crocked smile. My teeth don’t show much at all when I smile. I have paid £7,000 for implants at my dental practice in York. Hope you can give me some advice on this as I expected the results to be better than this, the implants are my upper 3 front teeth. I also, after 3 years, still get a numb feeling in my nose above the implants? Many thanks.
Hey, Dr Hughes. I have a few missing teeth and the teeth I have are discoloured. I am getting so down about their appearance. Is there any way I can get them fixed so I can finally having a bright smile like my friends, but at a low cost? I have been told that treatment will cost around £5000, and that would be for a couple of implants, teeth whitening and a new crown. I cannot afford this and I hate leaving the house due to my smile. Do they have students learning or something that could do it or any other cheaper alternatives? I’m stuck for options. Thank you for reading this question.
Hello Dr Gambroudes, I need some advice regarding what to do with my teeth please. I have two crowns at the top front that need replacing and these are next to the top right tooth which has broke off & the one on the other side is decayed. I have teeth that are decayed and I have many amalgam fillings some quite deep. I will need dentures or implants on the bottom back of my mouth to help me to chew now I’ve lost the ones there. On the top I am either going to need implants and bridges or just bridges. I’m not sure what will be the best to done. What do you believe to be the best?

When I was younger, perhaps around 14, (I’m 26 now) I had a tooth taken out on the nhs that was growing the wrong way inside my gum and pushing all the other teeth out of place.
I’ve had braces to sort an under-bite also and I’ve tried to straighten all the rest. Subsequently I feel very little was done. My bite is okay but my jaw is all out of line. In the middle of my bottom jaw is a tooth. So the line that should match up with my top teeth doesn’t match. The fang tooth on my top left side isn’t there and makes my face so different looking to the other side of my face. I feel so ugly with it all over the place. I was wondering if this sounds like it is fixable? I’d give anything to have lovely teeth and not want to hide them.

Hi Andrew. I have 3 missing back teeth on my bottom jaw lower left 7 and 6 and lower right 6 with 7. It’s giving me agony as I speak. It has a big hole in it and I imagine it’s on its way, my lower left and right 5 also has decay. Eating is a nightmare as my bottom as I desperately need implants. I am only 30 years old and my teeth are ruined. Surely I can get treatment on the NHS or something? I really could not imagine spending another 30 years with no back teeth as its so horrible and uncomfortable it takes me ages to eat. What are my options for this and is there any way I can afford treatment? Thank you for your reply.
